$2700 is getting up there in price. Anything under 2 grand is a damn good deal, but $2000 or so is completely doable. As for VATS, I'd do it for you for free (cost of shipping for the computer) oops, except I see thats an OBD II computer which I dont have gear for.

Someone passed on a link to http://www.sherco-auto.com for new injectors $99 for all 6, thats where I ordered from. Or I know of a couple people on Zcar that have a used set, I can pass on an email of a guy in NY that has a set for $50.

Hmm, ok. I did notice that mine falls a bit short (240), and then read later that the 280ZX/T firewall is 3" further forward than the 240. Supposedly the injected linkage from any 280 works(?), but I guess your covered.

Remember the NA guys with 13.5:1 etc are making 300HP or so at the crank, if you want power go turbo or get a V8. I assume you mean bottom end when you mean "breaking into the motor", if all you did was top end work you'd be limited on RPM and probably would not see more than 220 HP at the crank is my guess, and it would not be a torque monster like a turbo car, and it wont get gas mileage for crap from what I've seen of tripples. I dont think I've heard of more than 13 MPG. 240sx sounds like it would be a nice car.

LoL... What did you guys do about the throttle actuation? I am ripping out my choke cable to see if I can use that temporarily, its pretty long in its stock form though...

For the web stuff it depends on the county, and if they approve certain sites, its pretty likely nowdays. I likewise got a sheet of approved online places, and walk ins that I could go to, comedy traffic school etc - I heard they aren't really funny...

In CA there is paperwork the seller can give to the buyer, and both of them send these forms to DMV (seperate for each). I bought a 69 Firebird with no title (it was PNO for so long it fell off the records), and just got a sheet of paper for my bill of sale/transfer of ownership, and DMV gave me no hassles.

You would be left with much more money if you just buy an engine setup that way. Several companies stopped making products, heads included for the LT1 because it was an engine that lasted only 6 years, the market was poor and some others already established what niche there was. So, if a you get someone to spend $500,000 for tooling to make a head for you, you are going to be very broke, because they aren't going to soak up the costs when maybe 20 people would buy them over a 5 year period of time. The reality is, you wont even find anyone to make you a plastic intake, without serious capitol, and there is no way its worth it.
