  1. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you. Likewise, just because you're a cynic doesn't mean you're not right.

  3. The slaves "hid" the martial moves in a dance.
  4. Wushu and Capoeira are not the same thing. Wushu is relatively modern and from China. Could you use it to fight? Sure... I've just never seen any pro fighter (or amateur street fighter) use it. To make the car comparison it's just bling. Don't get me wrong, I'm impressed with his physical capabilities.
  5. Impressive! I have to wonder how good he would be if he'd apply his considerable coordination to a fighting art.
  6. Sad to hear you're getting rid of it. I've enjoyed living vicariously through your projects! I'll trade you my Katana for your Z28... (only half joking there...)
  7. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. "Government is not reason. It is not eloquence. It is a force, like fire: a dangerous servant and a terrible master." George Washington "Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel." Patrick Henry "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." Benjamin Franklin "[the united states] can't be so fixed on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary americans." Bill Clinton
  8. Thanks y'all. Moving is out of the question though, as is working on it even one weekend a month. I know that owning a Z is not about being practical but I just can't get past that. I've got ten acres that needs major attention and a house that needs renovating... oh yeah, and I just bought a business which I don't enjoy. (Don't ask) I simply took too much onto my plate! Y'all are a great bunch, I lurk when I can. Good luck with all your cars, I'll live vicariously I guess! (For who knows how long)
  9. To make a relatively short story (compared to what I know some of y'all can tell) even shorter... I'm tired of the Z. Yeah, I got caught up with the "while I'm at it" syndrome and I'm so far in now I feel like I should sell it because I'm the type who wants to do it right or not at all. I'm currently working about 70hrs a week and will soon start a massage therapy course which will basically consume the only days off I have now. I've got the car for sale right now but might keep it if you could come up with the right motivation. I have spent quite a few hours on it but realistically it's only half of what it needs. I have no friends here let alone someone who's into cars who'll help. The real killer is I don't even need a car... got a truck and motorcycle. Say something... anything. Sorry, just needed to vent.
  10. The first step might be putting this in the "site support" forum... ? I definitely like the regional idea but don't really see the demand for it.
  11. Who the heck has time to come up with these? I planted some birdseed. A bird came up. Now I don't know what to feed it. I had amnesia once -- or twice. I went to San Francisco. I found someone's heart. Last week I forgot how to ride a bicycle. Protons have mass? I didn't even know they were Catholic. All I ask is a chance to prove that money can't make ME happy. I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous. A beggar asked me for 50 cents for a sandwich. I said, "First let me see the sandwich." What is a "free" gift? Aren't all gifts free? They told me I was gullible... and I believed them. Teach a child to be polite and courteous in the home and, when he grows up, he'll never be able to merge his car onto a freeway. Experience is the thing you have left when everything else is gone. What if there were no hypothetical questions? One nice thing about egotists: They don't talk about other people. When the only tool you own is a hammer, every problem begins to look like a nail. A flashlight is a case for holding dead batteries. My weight is perfect for my height - which varies. I used to be indecisive. Now, I'm not sure. The cost of living hasn't affected its popularity. How can there be self-help "groups"? Is there another word for synonym? Where do forest rangers go to "get away from it all"? The speed of time is one-second per second. Is it possible to be totally partial? What's another word for thesaurus? Is Marx's tomb a communist plot? If swimming is so good for your figure, how do you explain whales? Show me a man with both feet firmly on the ground, and I'll show you a man who can't get his pants off. It's not an optical illusion. It just looks like one. Is it my imagination, or do buffalo wings taste like chicken? I used to eat a lot of natural foods until I learned that most people die of natural causes.
  12. Sorry I'm no help but a search in the "drivetrain" forum might help you. I found this http://hybridz.org/nuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=23300&highlight=tilton+t5+hydraulic+clutch and I'm sure there's more.
  13. Here's what you're looking for Tim. I second that btw.
  14. He works for a highly secret government contractor. He COULD tell you... but then he'd have to kill you. Mike, if your company ever needs more help let me know!
  15. I went to college for one year, hated it. Made decent grades but never could get interested as I didn't know what I wanted to do. My advice is that if you don't want college either go to tech school or find a good job that will teach you what you're interested in. I now have a 240 that's got no drivetrain but is almost rust free and a 280 that's stock with only a few minor spots up top and none underneath. Unless you're looking for a major challenge stay away from that car! I saw it before he primered it and it was baaad! From the job he did I'm willing to bet he didn't do it right. Spend a little more up front and get something alot better. LOL!
  16. If it's that good for you, think how good it will be to help others out! After all, "they" say that when you have problems "go help others". So here I am - ready to help all of you by letting you help me! *puts out open hand and waits...
  17. If it's in good condition, yes.
  18. Umm, do you mean the half lidded look of "don't question me"? I was just nitpicking, it's the only thing I have plenty of experience at. I actually think it's quite a nice one.
  19. It must be an image thing...
  20. Texans in the "After Life" Gabriel came to the Lord and said, "I have to talk to you. We have some Texans up here who are causing problems. They're swinging on the pearly gates, my horn is missing, barbecue sauce is all over their robes, their dogs are riding in the chariots, and they're wearing baseball caps and cowboy hats instead of their halos. They refuse to keep the stairway to heaven clean. There are watermelon seeds and pig feet bones all over the place. Some of them are walking around with just one wing." The Lord said, "Texans are Texans, Gabriel. Heaven is Home to all my children. If you want to know about real problems, call the Devil." The Devil answers the phone, "Hello? Damn, hold on a minute." The Devil returns to the phone, "OK, I'm back. What can I do for you?" Gabriel replied, "I just want to know what kind of problems you're having down there." The Devil said, "Hold on again. I need to check on something." After about 5 minutes the Devil returned to the phone and said, "I'm back. Now what was the question?" Gabriel said, "What kind of problems are you having down there?" The Devil said, "Man, I don't believe this....Hold on." This time the Devil was gone 15 minutes. The Devil returned and said , "I'm sorry Gabriel, I can't talk right now. Those damn Texans have gotten together with the Aussies, put out the fire and are trying to install air conditioning!"
  21. Why not drop the oil pan and check it out a little closer? I personally wouldn't rebuild it if money's tight, it's just gonna be labor added later if you do need to take it out. If you're gonna use it hard then maybe you should though... you know how you'll drive it.
  22. "Since my last report, this employee has reached rock-bottom and has started to dig." "I would not allow this employee to breed." "This employee is really not so much of a has-been, but more of a definite won't be." "Works well when under constant supervision and cornered like a rat in a trap." "When she opens her mouth, it seems that it is only to change feet." "He would be out of his depth in a parking lot puddle." "This young lady has delusions of adequacy." "He sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them." "This employee is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot." "This employee should go far, and the sooner he starts, the better." "Got a full 6-pack, but lacks the plastic thingy to hold it all together." "A gross ignoramus...144 times worse than an ordinary ignoramus." "He doesn't have ulcers, but he's a carrier."! "I would like to go hunting with him sometime." "He's been working with glue too much." "He would argue with a signpost." "He brings a lot of joy whenever he leaves the room." "When his IQ reaches 50, he should sell." "If you see two people talking and one looks bored, he's the other one." "A photographic memory but with the lens cover glued on." "A prime candidate for natural de-selection." "Donated his brain to science before he was through using it" "Gates are down, the lights are flashing, but the train ain't coming." "He's got two brains, one is lost and the other is out looking for it." "If he were any more stupid, he'd have to be watered twice a week." "If you give him a penny for his thoughts, you'd get change." "If you stand close enough to him, you can hear the ocean." "It's hard to believe he beat off 1,000,000 other sperm." "Some drink from the fountain of knowledge; he only gargled." "Takes him 2 hours to watch '60 Minutes'." "The wheel is turning, but the hamster is dead."
  23. If you do the bedliner thing you can simply buy a gallon of it (or quart) and roll it on. No overspray!
  24. Well, I got a truck! '95 F250, the seats are pretty worn out and I desperately need some good ones. I just can't see paying $400 plus on ebay... so does anybody know of where some are for a decent price? I don't care about the color as long as the price is right and they're not worn out.
