  1. Hey guys, for all those that missed out on this hood ........ I've got a surprise for you.
  2. Believe me when I say that money's already spent. You guys will soon see enough on what Never made the connection on the user ID's name though -- lol
  3. Thanks guys, you've eased my concerns for the time being. I'm sure something else will come up. Looks like I just have to hunt down the right flter setup and I'll be fine. Thanks again!!
  4. Ok, I searched and maybe I'm not using the right words. The info I'm looking for is this. With the JTR setup, is anybody running an air gap style intake? Does it clear the stock hood? Does anybody have a measurement from the top deck of the block to the underside of the hood? I'd just hate to put this thing in the car just to have clearance issues with the hood. If I need to change the intake I'd rather do it on the stand rather than in the car. The reason I ask is because I was looking through some photo albums and it looked a little tight with a standard height intake and it got me concerned.Any help is appreciated guys...!!
  5. Hey Joel, I don't know where I sent it to. It was through the email button in your profile. Anyway, hit me up on my yahoo acct. and I'll send ya the pic on the return. nesbabyalways@yahoo.com
  6. Well, I put it on ebay like I told you guys I would. So, it's up for grabs guys!!!!!! Oh yeah, the auction won't start until 9pm est tonight (Feb 11th), so if you try to look at it before then it'll just tell you the item is no longer available even though the auction hasn't started yet. Good luck and happy bidding http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7953951585
  7. Don't suppose you'd consider giving the same floor treatment to a fellow HybridZ'er???
  8. All the arresting officer has to do is prove that you are unfit to drive, if your under the max BAC. It's just a guarantee that'll you'll be charged if your over the max BAC. Either way you can be screwed.
  9. Ok, more specs. They are self aligning and this was an excerpt from one of my email questions to the guy. "The factory specs for Hydraulic Roller,is a 0.474"/0.510" lift with a 1.5 rocker arm, with the addition of our 1.6 rocker arms corrected lift #'s are 0.506/0.544. 208/221 degrees is factory specs, and with the 1.6's there would be a slight duration increase also" The valve springs are "new Z28 springs set at 100 lbs of seat pressure" And was told it's a "ZZ4 roller cam kit" Oh, and looking through the old emails I found this little tidbit too when I asked about how much was taken of of the block. "the deck was just cleaned off on it, probably approx .010, and the the gaskets are .039. the .039 is 9cc's. Thanks"
  10. OK, heres the deal I have a rebuilt 86 up block bored .030 over with rebuilt Vortech heads. The heads or block were not surfaced. The builder used 1.6 ratio roller rockers. Now there has been some concern with why the 1.6's were used. I have heard that I may run into problems with the valve clearance. The pushrods were left with 9 thousandths clearance at the rockers. Now the concern is, if I tighten them down to where they're supposed to be will I have any problems with the valve clearance? Is there anyway to check without pulling the intake and heads off?
  11. Meh, it's ok if your into those old Datsuns
  12. Well the cam I have is steel. And I was told that the steel cams were a lot harder on the dist. gear so the brass would have to be changed annually or so. I think I'll just get the composite and post the wear characteristics after about a year or so......
  13. I was told that with the roller cam setup I've got in my engine that I should be looking at getting one of those composite gears for the distributer as opposed to the brass type because of the durability. Is there any truth to this? I don't want to drop $100 if I don't need to, it can go other places. But if I have to I can. Any advice is appreciated. TIA!!
  14. as far as the finger nail polish remover goes........ I've done it numerous times, but just make sure to get the excess off as soon as your done and clean the area really good and re-polish/wax as needed so as to not damage the paint. This worked and did not damage the paint on my car. And I did that a few years ago. It still looks great in the areas. Can't even tell.
