  1. I'm going to fabricate brackets and install a Speedway Motors rod to link the strut towers, spanning an LS2 on JCI mounts. My engine is on a stand, so will someone please take a measurement, say from the frame rail to the bottom of whatever brace you have clearing the LS goodness. Many thanks! HybridZ rocks!
  2. As a subscriber to Grassroots Motorsports I got an E-mail about their upcoming issue. It's going to have a bucket of Datsun and relevant articles. They're going to sample four classic Z's, Peter Brock and BRE do a V8 510, there's a how-to on Megasquirt, and also an article titled "Rust recovery- Best methods for beating corrosion", all spot an for us Datsun-ites!
  3. You might find a similar outfit on your end of the country but this company, http://www.fibreglast.com is in Ohio, is excellent to deal with, and has the mould release you're asking for. (13-pva release film). Wax the dash first and start with a lighter (2 oz.) fabric, it'll will conform to all the contours. Good luck!
  4. And of course you know how Datsun got it's name don't you? The Japanese were coming out with an exciting two seat sports car and needed a good name for it right away, so they called the Germans for some help. They tell them they need a name in just a couple of days and the German guy say's, "Daht Soon?"
  5. Larry- Congratulations on your build! What a fine looking, one of a kind, Z. I'm especially impressed with the front end. The craftsmanship looks top drawer and the design is excellent. If you ever have a mold made of the hood for composit versions, I'll be first in line. Oh, and you'll have to produce a bumper too, to match the radius of the hood. Really nice, enjoy it! Steve
  6. I'd be glad to initiate the Program. I've been considering buying one of Eastwood's, for about $250. With you being so thoughtful and generous, I would get it back to you pronto, with a great big THANKS! Steve
