Does anybody know if the two are any different? Would it cause any problems to use a regular L28 timing cover on my '82 L28et engine? Reason I am asking is I want to try min. the down-time (pulling the motor this weekend to do some upgrades, make everyhting neater, etc..) thanks for any info.

thats a sexy lookin Z! And a good choice on the powerplant, especially for the amt. of $ you spent on your ZXT. I spent exactly twice as much on my ZX Turbo but it had perfect wheels, very nice interior, etc. etc. I would have rather done what you have tho and got a cheap(er) running turbo donor car.

FYI, as questions keep piling up, the oldest question by date goes on the bottom of the page (new questions are on top, oldest ones are on bottom) As more questions get answered the corresponding numbers change as well. the bands you listed in the first post are some of my favorite bands of all time: Danzig just blows your head off the very first time you hear it! An amazing band unlike anything else I ever heard in my life. I love AIC for the same reason I love to listen to Danzig: both bands have their unique sense of coolness, show their control and temper in their music, and have the slow, tremendous power build-ups. You can feel this power building up and literally surging out in many of their songs.. Some of my favorite AIC tracks are "Man in the Box", "Bleed the Freak", "Would", and of course "Down in a Hole" Classic stuff. For Danzig, my fav. song is "How Gods Kill" but there are so many others.. having said that I HATE The Misfits- I think the lead guitarist of Danzig formed that when group split - not sure. In high school EVERYBODY and their mamas listed to the misfits.. uggh! I never heard of "Cult" I will have to listen to them now. any of you into TON (type O neg.) ? Another excellent band, but you gotta be in the mood for it (hard to explain but most of you know what Im tlaking bout) In short: Dont listen to if you are depressed even tho thats the only time I do! LOL other fav. bands (not nec. hard rock): Nirvana, Mazzy Star, Doro (awesome female singer with heavy @$$ guitar back-up), Skid Row, Marilyn Manson, Pink Floyd. Let's keep this thread alive it's been sooo damn long since I heard ANYTHING worth listening to!

I have an .avi music video that I want to save the soundtrack only, as an mp3 file. How can I go about doing that?? I gor lame codec installed and working well (can rip & enconde CD's, all the way up to 320kbps, etc.) I am running WIN XP.. Thank you for any tips/advice!

Is it possible to clear powdercoat polished (mirror-like) aluminum?? I was leaning towards this option as it's a one time expense only. But the question is..will the powder stick to it?

I have a brand new just-got-done-polishing-it valve cover that I do not want to ever have to polish again!! Also got some misc. engine parts that are nicely polished.. mirror finish, no scratches, etc. Very nice stuff. What are your recomendations on how to protect these engine bay parts? I dont want the aluminum to get dull. Is it best to paint clearcloat? or maybe powder-coat clear? other methods? thx in advance, Igor

the airdam is urethane not glass. askin $60 for it. Can trade for tools or maybe misc. Z car parts - whatcha got? Igor

header wrap is death for the header, trust me on that. I had mine only for 2 weeks, on a brand new header, and it messed it up and I dont mean surface rust! It did make a HUGE difference in heating of the engine bay tho. I could actually mess with the SU's now without burning my hands or wearing wet gloves..

I am redoing my interior panels with faux leather. So far I love the way they look and feel. Got one problem Im trying to make up my mind about... how can I attach them?? Also, do yall think I should cut the hole out for the map light or leave it without? (im leaning towards without..cleaner!) I know I can punch/drill holes and use the regular black interior rivets.. but I really don't want to do that. I'm looking for something cleaner.. something creative and that will work well. (can take panel off and on, without breaking anything) So.. Is there any other way besides the factory rivets? Any special techniques for upholstering and/or tips? The taurus fan WILL NOT FIT the L6, I tried it yesterday night and it's like 2 inches too thick. Any other good fans like that which have slimmer depths?

I have been searching for about a hour and reading everything I can and STILL can not find an answer.. so any help would be GREATLY apreciated. What (if any) OEM electric fans will work as pullers, in my L28ET 260z?? Right now I have a crappy 12" fan with no shroud and I know the car overheats in traffic, even before the turbo swap, it used to do that.. I want to make sure theres zero chance of overheating. Budget's very limited, that's why I want to go with OEM fans I can get (comparetively) cheaper. Any good candidates or aftermarket only?? If aftermarket what are some of the best choices?? thanks guys!!

Why can't you simply cut off the stock dp's flange and use that as basis for a custom dp? is it too small or just too rusty usually? Any1 have a DP they wanna sell?

I got a stock turbo and a regular ZX 5sp tranny. Need to get a DP made for it ASAP. To make everything fit well I've been running my AFM upside down, with the plug faceing up. Is this likely to cause any problems? Car runs and idles good but has a slight miss under WOT. Good fuel pressure throughout. I thought maybe it's this upside down afm thing???? thanks for any replies guys
