  1. Never happen. Even if it did it would just spawn a "black market" there would always be a way around it.
  2. i found the bad dog hinges for $275 but they are still out of my price range. I ran across a thread where someone modified their stock hinges to work in the same way. Has anyone tried this? http://www.classiczcars.com/topic/28116-zg-nose-bonnet-hingeneed-help-thanks/
  3. I like how you can keep the hood open without shocks but Jesus christ $350 for a set of hinges?? Is there any other options out there that use this style that don't cost an outrageous amount of money?
  4. Yup, if they are at a 45 degree angle. I've been seeing more and more High HP turbo cars setup this way lately. It provides a good amount of vaccum even under boost which isn't exactly easy to do. I'll be selling my Catch can and going this route soon.
  5. Or save your money and just run the valve cover vents to the exhaust with a one way check valve.. No smell, no dumping catch cans and the harder you push the motor the more vaccum you get to clear the CC.
  6. Yes I am talking about LS motors. GM tolerates it becuase the EPA says they have too. Dumping oily vapors back into your air intake has obvious disadvantages. Will you see a measurable difference? Probably not but after years and years of dumping it in there there is a clear build up that takes place in the intake runners of the heads. It will and does restrict air flow over a large period of time. I have seen heads with and with out PCV systems and it is night and day. The best way is to use vaccum to pull CC pressure and have it collected in a puke can.
  7. I have a 315 under a ZG flare and it barely sticks out past the flare
  8. Crank case venting is important for any "high hp" car. Sending an oily mixture back into your combustion chamber is in no way a good idea. The CCV setup on a NA LS motor is as simple as it gets. Using a vented catch can on an NA motor makes zero sense to me. You have a constant vacuum, use it to your advantage. Pick a decent brand non vented catch can and mark it off your list of mods to the car.
  9. Yeah my comment was directed towards J but turbo your car is looking good too!

  11. I have an MN12 T56 with less than 70k on it. It even has the bungs welded in the casing for a trans pump. PM me if your still looking for one.
  12. Yeah makes sense. I was able to make some new lines and get the valve plumbed in. Thanks for the help.
  13. My Z follows every crack in the road with or without camber, it makes no difference on my car. I feel for ya.. It's a pain in the ass.
