    if anyone has ever driven in a t10/m21-2 car and felt that external linkage hurst shifter and banged the crap out of it like there was no tommorow, they know that icon simulates it very well. thanx for the compliments Lone, i really felt it was about time for me to move on and try something new but within my familiarity with cars, plus i want to boost real bad.
  2. went out after tuning car up, swapped carb(im keeping my dp for a future car) stuck the dr's on and said "its saturday night girl lets do it like we done did it" i strap up, put on a pair of latex gloves(hey it keeps the sweat off the wheel) put my do rag on and went looking for trouble. stuck it to a 98 cobra, and i even staged it for him for six seconds at the light real quick to make sure the dr's were gonna do it for me, launch like glue. 300zx twinturbo fifteen minutes later, like butter baby, honda civic(just like always) driven around hearing the gravel on my tires, i need one more kill to make the night complete, ive been driving around for about two hours with the secondaries a blazin, z06 vette up the way, i floor it to catch up to him, and catch him at a light,look in the rear view, back up and give him a huge stanky sideshow flambostin smokie, which he compliments by dry revving to 5k and looking straight ahead, boom im ghost on him two cars out the hole, second he pulls even third hes on my front fender, end of third hes pulling on me, and we get to the light, yeah i lost, but its not the outcome, its how you get there sometimes. transport is coming from san diego tuesday, fairlady 327 is going to a new home, and hopefully the new owner has as much or more fun than i have had, or just had

  5. i guess on this side of town i dont need anything like that, but for some reason at the track its always at least 90, i could see it work well there. they use pumps from an rv store with rubber hose to some nozzles to make the water mist, hooked up to a simple switch and the water supply they use a eight gallon summit fuel cell, but i could see using a rather large windshield wiper resevoir or overflow tank instead from a big car like a suburban or something, you would have to fill it more often but thats no big deal, i have heard that with the water injection you can squeeze a few more ponies by using windshield wiper fluid-it contains alcohol in it and helps marginally.

    im looking at that 7mgte conversion, that looks like cool amounts of power there, but i am also into that vg30det single turbo motor, there are tons of those in the yards over here, and the trannys are all over as well, more to break!

  8. theres no set amount of money that can make this swap happen, it depends on what you want to do with it, people say the r200 can take 500hp, the mounts can take that too if they are fresh, but i have proven that with 250hp, you can bust an r200 wide open after defending my title as the king of illegal import and domestic street racing, time after time(those who know feel free to sing it with me) king baby, the king.

  10. anyone try to run a set of spray nozzles over their intercooler to run more boost? i was reading sport compact car and they talk about setting a system up on their rally focus, and ive known that lancers and jdm imprezzas run this setup on their cars from the factory, im putting an l28et car and in the future want to push large psi through it, and just wondering what people have done liek this, just thinking out loud i guess.

  12. you can get the efi to fire up with six wires, sometimes four, but get it running with everything first, then start taking wires out.

  14. get the ic first, then use hangers to make the shape where you need to plumb the pipes, then get the straight parts with straight pipe, and use these turbohoses.com fittings and boom, flamboostin.

  17. dont plug it into the 240 external regulator, i believe that plug goes into alt, and the other wires are the same. use a multimeter to see if it is charging.

  19. small weiand charger will clear stock hood(even in a scarab install) IF you run sidedrafts off of it,i have a set of them but i want way too much.
  20. when the money comes for bigger injectors and a bigger turbo, best bet thats what imma gonna do, but for now i want to get it to run pretty good, the components i do have are in very good working order and dont want to waste them. i have to do some body on this car and want to keep it driving in the meanwhile. my plan is to go with a hybrid turbo, a bigger set of injectors, some type of boost control, timer, trying to keep it basic, once i lock this combo, maybe sds or dfi is in order, but i want to make this thing put out all the power it can with what it has. thanx guyz.
  21. curently have a pretty stout L28et motor and trans im getting ready to drop into my new z body. here are some stats on it. ported p90 head forged dished pistons head decked-compression ratio is about 8-1 hks headgasket stock t3 ported non egr manifold stock injectors 280zxt harness with 85 300zxt ecu and maf 240sx 60mm tb 3"exhaust(have to cut and reweld to fit early z chassis.) fmic(probably npr, dont have one yet) the motor came out of a 82zxt that ran high 12's with a bigger turbo,injectors, and large fmic but with same harness, ecu. i plan to get everything wired up and go for the intercooler and bov once i get the gremlins work out. amy ideas how much power it would put out as is, and how much with a intercooler and bov??? it was dynoed with the more stock setup in the zxt body with 225hp and wasnt dynoed with the bigger turbo, inj, and fmic thanx guys, should have this thing on the road in a month or so.

    broke 13's, new 3.54 runs great, bad news is that im getting out of v8z's.
  24. 3.54 is the most common r200 in 75-78 cars. 3.36 is pretty rare. tall tires and a 3.54 is pretty cool for a 1 to 1 final ratio car.
  25. i used to have those, they looked great too, ive seen the insides painted black and sold for 450.00 to a trueno owner, oops thats where they went.
