  2. i like my 87 toyota p/u truck with two barrel carb as a driver/hauler/. wouldnt call it a beater, because yes- i change the oil reliously. but i dont do things to the truck-no mods at all, its a nice truck that gets the job done nicely, needs a radio though.
  3. theres been a couple sucessful mating of the t56 and the L motor, ss510 runs 11's or 10's with one of those. are you having trouble with your regular five speed? i run a na 280zx 81-83 and its been fine, granted im not running anymore than 240hp probably less. the 6 speed ive heard is weak. i remember once upon a time there was a link to conversion bellhousings that mated supra trans to l motor, i think stony got an adaptor to run a th400 behind the skyline motor?
  4. its the JDM factor that makes that intake pretty cool, hayashi made pretty cool rims and those are very hard to find as well, it is stamped and looks different that other triple intakes.
  5. did you try cleaning up the connectors? ive heard of somebody using blower motor from a ford ranger, i think it was lone or pparaska.
  6. ived interchanged between the single and dual prong type tps's twice, and noticed very little difference except with the dual prong you have to adjust a little more to get the right volts.
  7. thats hoovers car, he posts here once in a blue moon those parts are very hard to find. those are 15" imsa flares-very hard to find and even harder to fill. the body extension is a gnose, and that one has a one off air dam under it.

  10. just wondering what would be a good setting for an fpr. running an adjustable type on l28et stock efi what is stock setting? right now runs good when i have it set at 35psi at idle. just wondering
  11. man just got through a week of electric gremlin huntin, finally found it in the tps tuning, but in the process i went through and tightened and tuned everything to the nth degree, and was greeted with some very evil suprises. first run again with full boost, first wound out fast, second wound up fast, third and the car starts going sideways, i believe that i had no traction in the first two gears i think the bald tires just werent making any sound through them, but in third i dang near wrapped my buddy around a pole. knowing me, i had to go test my luck as well, and found a rsx to come play with fire, and without traction had no problems pouncin em, a quick run 0-60mph, and the gremlins are gone, if dale dont get it, im intercooling and putting some more boost on this car, man it feels good to be a gangster.

  13. thanx guys, i checked everything once again, made sure no holes in connectors, all grounds secure, and finally got down to running a voltimeter to the tps and adjusted that bad boy-we back on line once again buddies- now i have this new problem-it wont hook in third!!!!!!!!
  14. check the fusible links, do the lights and everything else work? on a 280z- when one of the efi fusible links goes out, your radio will go out too, but youre lights and everything else will fully function, in my 78, i would keep the radio on all the time, even if there wasnt music coming out of it, when the music died-thats when i replaced links and boom-vroom go. good luck.
  15. car was just sitting outside for a little while didnt drive it for almost a month, hasnt been the same since. i cleaned connectors again, it runs better now, my head temp sensor looks pretty filthy-could that be it, i always thought the car would just run rich if connector got sloppy. the car feels great, but then youll hit boost and its like the computer slapping me in the face with a NO!
  16. i like it, personally. i would like to see it on a 2 seater though, that 2 plus 2 roofline is killing me. could stand some deep 17's and some killer motivation in the engine bay. i like the look and the body work was done well i think, you think he'll part that front clip?

  18. they look good like that. i had mine painted black with the out lip polished. i later painted them aluminum with the lip polished, i would like to go gunmetal. i have a black car, it looked completely sinister with the flakes blackeout but i wanted some contrast, will probably paint them gunmetal. i painted the rear finisher panel the same as the rims, may have to paint that again as well.
  19. not a racing muffler, but i run a 3" straight thru style borla muffler, and it sounds great, smooth and doesnt drone like a cheap rice rocket muffler (cheap meaning constructed, not price) and yes, car alarms and their owners hate me.
  20. computer has to modified to work with l28et maf wont work with stock computer without mods as well. i would take coil ignition transistor throttle cable fuel pump and more stuff im sure, but id have to be there.
  21. this is very weird, and ive tried just about everything to cure this problem, im ripping my hair out over it im really confused. ok, i have the car will idle fine with a tiny surge-but it will idle forever just like normal, under load, it drives ok as well, but as soon as i hit the gas hard it will want to die out, and its not like a vaccum leak-it feels more like the computer is cutting me out like a rev limiter feeling. at a free rev it will also seem like a rev limiter when i try to get it to go to 0 hg. things ive checked or replaced 1. alternator and battery( coincidentally going bad, wouldnt charge) 2. TPS(might be it, but ive put two different ones on and had the same problem.) 3. vaccum is at a hair past 22hg at idle 4. all hoses are snug, no vaccum leaks. 5. reset ecu and cleaned all wire connections 6. checked all efi and body grounds extensively 7. adjusted timing now there is only a couple things i can think of that would have caused it and i really dont know if it would cause such a problem. the clamp on the end of my afm is kind of bent, but im pretty sure it makes a good seal around the back of the afm. also, maybe the timing is still too advanced and when it gets to zero the computer over compensates for too much timing???? hope to get this thing boosting, these gremlins are killing me. thanx folks.

MAN, how does the car even function? yeah you can run without relays, but you are taking a risk, a big risk without the relays. it would seem to me that harness is fubar and you should just get another one, maybe spend a couple hours at the nearest junkyard, and cleanly dissect the wiring harness of a turbo car, its almost the same amount of work that would be needed to clean up the harness that the guy has in his car. just my .02
  23. ok, this is my take on that FO SHRIGADEL cutty it wasnt even cool like. i was mobulatin on the dub dueces mindin my thizzle when the ROLLICE came thru trying to play me, talking bout they know i got major yayo +mayo trying to take your man to JAYO, but dont even trip they can hate cuz i still got it rocking like the 1st and 15th with a mouthful of 11/5 baby bubba-doin it reall BIIIIIIIIIIG. we be keepin it rilla than my baby mamas attitude problem when it comes to regulatin the turf and putting the smash down trying to have it our way every day-all day. YA HEAAAAAAAAAAAAAARd best believe IF YOU KNOW WHAT I JUST SAID YOU GOTTA BE A BAY AREA TYPE FIGGA, AND WE CAN BLOW SWISHERS TILL WE RUN OUT OF FADERS.
