well unfortunately i painted me engine red a while ago, i still have the chance to change it but prolly wont, oh n just so everyone know i ended up painting it black for financial reasons haha

I was just wondering, if an engine has a dead cylinder how much power are you losing. i ask because my dads 6 cylinder Chrysler cirrus had a dead cylinder and i could tell when driving it that it had less power but it didn't seem like it was missing 1/6 of it power. so when a cylinder goed dead how much power do you lose exactly? just say you have a 4 cylinder engine with 160hp, would you then only have 120hp?(assume it has no compression) anyone know

ok so i have my engine bay all primed up and ready for paint but i dont know what color to paint it. i want something that stands out, or that i can stare at forever and not get tired of looking at. I have looked at everyone's engine bays in this thread Show Off Your Engine Bay! Pics Wanted, L-series, but i just didnt see anything that really stands out to me(not that they are bad or anything). My car is black, i am leaning towards painting the engine bay blue, but i dont know what kind of blue, i am open to anything but like i said i want to paint it a color that stands out. someone here did this a while ago, if anyone knows this paint code let me know. this is the blue i want, but if anyone has any pics of other engine bays from any car that look really nice or if you know any nice colors that you would like to suggest please let me know(paint code #'s would be great)

ya it looks like that, that one seems to look more glossy then mine but maybe its just the pic. it looked nice but it just didnt fit haha.

this is the left side, see how the stud isnt even close to lining up with the tail light So it didn't fit right, i was going to keep them even after i saw the crack(pictured above) but on the left side, the studs on the panel weren't aligned right, so the tail light wont fit on. the right side seemed to be fine. it looks great otherwise, i am going to ask for the seller to refund me or send me another one. i just really don't want to have to pay for shipping seeing as the product didnt fit.

the pannel just came in the mail. i havent gotten a chance to put it on the car yet but it looks great only problem is there is an area with a few cracks in it. i am deciding whether i should just keep it or get rid of it. ill try and get pics up today

I need the intake and exhaust manifolds for my 78 280z so it can pass smog, the egr pipe broke in a really bad way the it broke off the exhaust mani and it messed up the thread in the intake mani where the egr vale is. so i am looking to buy both. Or if someone has an engine locally that they are willing to sell for cheap and can guarantee it will pass smog i will just buy it instead. let me know what you have and your price. thanks

I get pulled over any time that i drive my car(i live in danville). I did get pulled over one time in which i was accused of speeding by my neighbor, which was funny because at the time they called the cops on me saying i was speeding was right when my car ran out of gas. So i was rolling down the street at about 15mph(guess that was to fast for them). Ofcourse when the cops drive by im at the spot still(since i WAS OUT OF GAS, making it impossible for me to speed!). When he got out of the car he came up to me and my hood was opened and he looked inside and saw the valve cover and said, "oh, this is turbo?" and i replied "oh.. uhhh.. nooooo.. i just put that valve cover on because it looked cool(hoping he would buy it), and he said, "oh, thats cool"(he bought it) and then he rambled on about how he had a 510 when he was young. that was probably the only time i have ever gotten pulled over(well i guess i didnt really get pulled over) in my 280z and not gotten a ticket or anything. thank god that cop didnt know what he was looking at.
