  1. Stock intake as in......not ported? How about the cylinder head, is that ported?
  2. The feeling that just came over me, when Tony D agreed with me, was an unrepeatable euphoria similar to that of only the most potent hallucinogens and opiats..... Anyways.... Are you sticking with the stock intake? I belive my GT30 is starting to surge above 20psi. Give us a little more info on what your setup is man.
  3. Just got off the phone with them. The lowest offset they go is a +20 like Datsun723 stated. You can always run spacers...
  4. A 1.05 a/r turbine is WAAAYYYY too big for our motors. Bigger is not always better. Try a GT30 or GT35 w/ a .63 a/r turbine. My GT30 has a .70 a/r compressor and a .63 a/r turbine.
  5. I think I may call them today and start asking questions....I'll post what I find out.
  6. Looks real good man! I gotta say I love these guages.
  7. Quick question, did you have a noise problem with your tach? Mine was very bouncy above 3500 rpms.
  8. I like! What part of SC are you in? And might I ask where you got those wheels? If you ever want to get rid of them......
  9. For anyone following, I ended up running a 1/2 watt 33,000 ohm resister in the signal pickup line. This has solved my bouncing problem and the tach moves real smooth now.
  10. That is a BEAUTIFUL color! Makes me kinda want to strip off my brand new paint and go back with that!
  11. That is from about 3500 RPM all the way mapped to 7000. I'm wondering how much safe yet effective timing the L28ET can take? And would 12.0 AFR a good spot to tune to gradually after peak torque? I am running 93 oct BTW. Now in my mind, timing advance should gradually increase all the way to redline. I think this because the engine is spinning faster and faster, there for combustion should happen sooner so the flame front would hit the piston at the right time. Am I wrong for thinking this way?
  12. Hey guys. So after getting my car back from paint jail and the installation of an Isky Racing turbo cam, I have started tuning. Since I do not have a dyno available in my budget, street tuning is all I have. I know where to tune my fuel maps into, but I am a little unsure about where to go with my Spark map. Here is my setup: Rebuilt L28ET with stock internals 7.4:1 compression. Garret T3/T4 GT30 .70a/r compressor .63a/r turbine w/ intercooler MSII 3.57 controlling fuel and spark off stock dizzy 440cc injectors Isky Racing cam 490/276 intake 480/268 exhaust w/ 112* lobe center Total Ign. advance @ 15psi is 21.4* @ 11.5 AFR and intake temps around 77-80* My ZX pulls really hard up to about 5k and then the power starts falling off pretty fast. My questions are, can I use more timing to get more top end power? or is my stock intake really holding me back above 5k? P.S. - I do not have a knock sensor, and I should probably get one...I know!
  13. Well guys, after 6 months and $1200 over budget, I have finally brought my baby home. The color is Jetstream Blue off the 09 Vette. It is a three stage paint and it cost lots o' monnies. I also installed an Isky cam for the turbo motor while she was in the booth, and she is FAST. These pics were taken on a cloudy day. The paint flops between a dark blue, light blue, and emerald green. Enjoy! I will get some more pics in different lighting soon.
  14. I talked to the guys at SpeedHut and they recomended me to run a 1W 35,000 ohm resister in the pickup line. I'll post my results later.
  15. Hey guys! I finally got the guages in the car and drove around with them. The speedometer is really accurate and reacts very quickly. The tach, on the other hand, is giving me some problems. Above 3500 rpms, the needle bounces around A LOT! it jumps between 3500 and 8k, wich is really annoying. I called SpeedHut about it and they gave me a couple things to try, and none of them worked. I'm thinking it may be the coil driver in MS being too noisy. I have the signal wire for the Tach coming off the negative side of the coil. If anyone has any suggestions on how to supress this signal noise, please let me hear them. Thanks, Adam Silver
  16. I have to say that the Isky Turbo cam really woke my car up! Boost comes on really fast with my GT30 now. I'm shootin for 400wtq after a good tune.
  17. Paul, you suck. Happy Birthday.
  18. You must take into consideration the 135hp is on a stock tune
