  1. Yes. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=2+STEP+LAUNCH+CONTROL Try the MSD unit.
  2. Your car will only make good boost under a load. The turbo has to have enough exhaust gasses flowing through it to spool and build boost, just revving it is not enough. Hook the boost guage up to the intake manifold and take the car for a spin. You will notice the boost increase while driving. Please take our advice on this one.
  3. Use one of the vacuum lines off the intake manifold. And for the idle, there should be an adjustment screw on the side of the TB(throttle body) that sets where the TB closes.
  4. I like OEM NISSAN parts......cuz I get them at wholesale price
  5. Tell your parts guy at Nissan that he is an idiot. It is still available.....from what I know. My friend has been parts manager at a Nissan dealer for a LONG time, and I recently got him to order me one. I'll have him check it out tomorrow and get the part number for you. It took us a while to find the turbo one, we got the round one the first time.
  6. The site must have gone down. The conversion is really pretty easy to do. I have a set of projectors, that you could use to retrofit, that I have no use for at the moment....
  7. That turbo has a different flange on it than the T3 flange required for the stock turbo manifold. Just go with the stock 280ZXT stuff and it will save you money and time.
  8. I posted that a couple months ago in the thread pertaining to Z's in movies. I don't think it was a coincidence.
  9. I run 15psi all day long on my daily driver ZX. What turbo are you running? You need to figure out what your turbo can flow to help you get a better idea of when it starts to blow hot air.
  10. Why not use a clutch setup found on an A/C compressor?
  11. My buddies RX-7 just lost all clutch pressure and we swapped the slave and master cylinder and it fixed his problem. It sounds like a classic slave and master cylinder problem. I would replace the two and go from there.
  12. What part of Columbia are you in? And yes, I have been working on my for quite some time. It is has been in the paint booth for the past 3 months.....hopefully it comes out soon.
  13. You wont find any turbo Z's in that price range here in Columbia, if any turbo Z's at all. I think I probably have the fastest Z car here in Columbia (it's actually a ZX) that is not a full out drag car. I'm always on the lookout for them though. I'll let you know if I come across any. (I don't mean to sound cockey BTW. I'm just saying that if you are looking for a quick Z car, there are not many around here.)
  14. No. You would be better off getting a turbo L28 and call it a day. Do some research on MegaSquirt...... diyautotune.com
  15. Yo, what the hell do you want? lol How's it going?

  16. If your timing is so off to where they had to "cut" the dizzy, I would guess the drive shaft for the dizzy is out of place. You should probably pull your oil pump and make sure your driving shaft is in the correct place.
  17. How do you plan on testing the power difference between the stock manifold and the one you plan on reproducing? I also think you should test it on an engine that is a little more practicle. Maybe an L28ET that the average Z enthusiast would build.
  18. You could give the strongest headgasket in the world to Big Phil and I'm sure he would still find a way to blow it at 12 psi But I am running a Felpro on 15psi and have had no problems with it. It's all in your tune. And a nice set of ARP head studs never hurt.
  19. http://slowboystore.com/brad_penn_oil/high_performance_motor_oils/bpo_sae_30_break_in_oil/i-269227.aspx Brad Penn break in oil is supposed to be the best oil on the planet for break ins. I currently have it in my engine with a freshly ground cam shaft from Isky Racing. Isky highly recomended it for the first 500 miles. SlowBoy Racing also swears by it. Oh, and it's green, so its more fun than your conventional oil.
  20. I know, but I'm sure he has some old maps saved somewhere
  21. I feel like digging this one back up to see if anyone else has anything to share. I should be getting my car back soon and I will be able to post my timing maps and fuel maps with my new Isky cam. Big Phil, If you read this........please share
  22. True, I feel like my car is not lowered enough for stretch to look good. I'm 1 inch lower than stock....and there is a lot of wheel well to fill on a ZX.
