More info the car has a port polished o ringed head from Lindsey racing with a wildfire gasket ( gasket name means nothing to me) other parts from Lindsey maf conversion, upgraded turbo, bov, manual boost control, Lindsey / Borla exhaust, chip. I am waiting on the guy to get all the receipts together to verify. He is not willing to go any lower then 4k for it so I dont know if that is good or not. all the others in similar condition in my area are asking 3k but he does supposedly have 11k in to the engine so....
  2. What are everyone's opinions on the Porsche 944 turbo. I am thinking about buying one but know very little about them. What are their major issues fuel mileage and things of that sort oh and of course performance critiques.
  3. Yea..I don't like the wrap idea...But I am not getting or finding the answers I need on mold making materials. I don't want to do a glass lay up I was hoping fro something like plaster where I could Just pour it and get a one and done mold out of it no luck figuring that out yet so maybe this is just another failed idea.
  4. In lines are fairly balanced. I solid mounted a three fifty on my stock car and did not think it was to bad so.
  5. So I removed the spare tire well to put in the Camaro tank. I started removing the interior to get ready for a 1 jz swap now I found I need new floor boards and I know four grand is pinching my 1j swap so I am now pissed frustrated and don't know what to do. Right now I only have three thousand to work with so not sure where to go or what to do. I do not have a welder or torch or any of my fab tools any more so what I used to be able to do I cant now and that is adding a lot of cost. I definitely need it running I was hoping to put in a newer EFI motor but. How to best spend three grand....hell is it even worth it anymore?

Hey, I will have funds to do my swap within the month here is the list of items I need Fuel cell or the camaro tank A 1j or 2j engine,trans,harness if someone has one Gauges I am looking at the tech two swap kit but am open price alternatives also looking for carbon hood, cowl,hatch and fiberglass fenders if I can get the swap cheap enough I don't have any useful salvage yards where I am located and I am willing to pay shipping. Thank's for the assistance

  13. Yea I did the carbon fiber vinyl look alike on a couple parts not digging it. The panels I have are kinda brittle and I really like the look of a stripped out interior on the z. So concept is to make a bunch of molds that closely match the interior sheet metal. Fiberglass would work to, I don't care about having the carbon look so glass would be cheaper. I am hoping to order the resin infusion kit from http://www.carbonmods.co.uk/products/resin-infusion-complete-starter-kit.aspx in a couple of weeks I am just not sure the best way to make the molds they also sell a mold kit kinda looks like chopped glass and clay it will make multiple copies of the part. I only want one copie so I am thinking plaster would be cheaper and easier to get a hold of I just don't know if the gel coat ad-hears to plaster Hell if I cant figure it out I may just sheet the car with aluminum and pop rivets, that will streamline it. this link is to their mold making video.
  14. So I want to make new interior panels out of carbon fiber, maybe delete some bulges and streamline some areas on my '73. Could I Just put release agent on the inside of the existing panels and vacuum bag it or maybe make a mold of the parts using plaster. I really don't know I have been reading and watching movies about vacuum bagging for two days now and am trying to move forward with my idea. Maybe I should just move to a big city so I can find local people to talk to in person lol. Any insight would be awesome. Thanks.

  17. As far as your brakes go I had drum rears and got the same symptoms so I put a new master cylinder on there and it solved the problem. I had measured out an after market jeep heater unit once and was/is convinced i will fit under the dash well.
  18. I want that nose, its beautiful. I hate spacers I think they are dangerous I ran some 1/2" units on a stock car and with 3/4" longer 5/8" studs and still stress snapped the studs. I am not very fond of black dragon auto so I will not buy from them I think they are poor quality.
  19. So my master brake cylinder is cycling fluid from rear res. to front res. and when I bleed I get pressure but when I try to drive I have none any ideas?
  20. Oh,any ideas why my brake master cylinder would be transferring fluid from back reservoir to front and not working?
