  1. heres the same kit on ebay for $389 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2485484403&category=6755&sspagename=WDVW
  2. which type headlights are those?
  3. To take off the rail, disconnect the fuel lines that are in front of the valve cover (btw you might want to cover up the lines with a rag since fuel will come out of the rail and lines). The rail also has two brackets that hold it onto the intake manifold and one in front under the valve cover, unscrew them and loosen the clamps on the injectors. There might be some vacuum lines attached too, but after that it should come off. Good luck working on your first Z, Im still working on mine too , and welcome to HybridZ!
  4. theres a set of the bushings for sale on ebay, but theres only about 11 hours left. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7911033039&category=46101&sspagename=WDVW
  5. Could you get a NA 280Z to run good if you swapped in turbo injectors and the ECU, or would you need the turbo AFM too?
  6. From what I understand, SWAT was stuck in traffic and got there as they were leaving the parking lot, and when another cop got back with store AR's it was over. The officers there were only armed with 9mm Berettas and shotguns. The 9mm slugs wouldnt penetrate the armor especially at the distance they were shooting, besides it would be hard to get a clean shot when you have two guys spraying bullets at you from drum magazines.
  7. Actually, thats not true, now the police carry a shotgun, .40 USP, and an AR-15, in CA at least I dont know about that, a bullet from an M-16 is much more lethal then a regular higher caliber rifle round. The small round enters the body and become round, jagged and ricochets off of bones (because of its low mass), slicing through organs, tissues ect. and will cause much more damage then a normal bullet.
  8. ok I was playing around with the car, and after I was done I checked the plugs again, and I found that the plugs on cylinder 6 and 1 were wet. I had soaked the injectors before in the cleaner, but I guess it wasnt strong enough to take off the varnish from the old gas from when we ran it about a year ago. Since now I know for sure that I am getting power, I was thinking I could "borrow" the injectors off our 81zxt parts car. Would the extra flow cause the car to flood, or would it not make a difference? Im glad that its not the electrical, but just the injectors
  9. you beat me to it. That lagonda is hideous, but I think thats what he's talking about. Heres a side view
  10. maybe Bastaad can draw us a picture It might help
  11. damn, I cant think of anything, and Ive seen all kinds of wierd cars. I dunno, one of these? (a wild guess) http://people.txucom.net/gswaybright/images/cars/Merkur-XR4Ti.JPG http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/files/neon03/11768.jpg maybe it was a kit car? BTW what decade did it look like it was from?
  12. I believe its a completley different engine, I think that they only used it in the G35 , not sure though
  13. well, I wouldnt use that car , but you could put the parts in another Z.
  14. I dont know if this counts but in a tv show called Maximum Exposure (its like real tv), theres a 240Z with a Monte Carlo rally paint scheme spinning and crashing into a wall in the show's intro sad...
  15. if they ever legalized it they would tax the hell out of it, so people would still buy it illegally anyway
  16. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7911474319&category=6763 Its got the 2liter engine with right hand drive. The dash doesnt look bad, the right hand drive and engine would make an awesome old school Z. Pretty rough, but if it was cheap enough it wouldnt be bad.
  17. if it was real there would be a lot of blood, also when the cat slides down the hood its head is still on
  18. I saw that, pretty cool. It was one of the fastest cars there and it even got the "most violent wheelstand" award
  19. Ok here's the problem. The timing is ok and I know I am getting fuel and fuel pressure because when I took off the injectors there was fuel in the rail and the lines. I checked the dropping resistor (its under the clutch master cylinder)and it isnt burned out. I and getting electricity to all the lights and I think the ECU, but it seems that the injectors arent getting any power because the plugs are dry. I first thought it was the dropping resistor because it controls how much power goes to the injectors, but since its ok I think that the problem is somewhere in the system before the ECU. So far I have checked the fusible links on the passenger side engine compartment, and also all the fuses in the fuse block. In the Z manual it shows an injector relay, but I cant find it. Also any tips on how to find all the fusible links and how to check to see if the ECU is getting power would be GREATLY appreciated.
  20. damn Ztard, thats a nice scope BTW Aux, is it true that you can only have one firearm in CA?
  21. then what do you think of these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7910995980&category=33710
  22. it also looks very similar to an old 308 Ferrari wheel
  23. I saw this on a 280ZX on cardomain. I thought it looked pretty cool, what do you think? http://www.cardomain.com/id/280zxnewdriver http://www.stylinconcepts.com/part.cfm?PartID=432089&PartFamilyID=1251&SubCategoryID=181&CategoryID=26&lc=pfpartt
