  1. I'm pretty sure there is a catalytic converter warning indicator on the center dash, across from the low fuel indicator. If the floor gets too hot, the light turns on. I have a non-california '76 and there's no indicator there, just a blank cutout for it. Thats the only superficial thing I can think of off the top of my head. There's other things, like the ignition system is slightly different, but I don't want to grab my manual to check.
  2. Good ol ppl at snopes debunk everything -> http://www.snopes2.com/inboxer/outrage/bonsai.htm
  3. Don't think I've ever seen a Z with a chrome grill like that, looks great.
  4. I saw it on TLC too. When they were putting it together, I thought the front end was ugly as hell, but actually seeing the car in motion, it looks great. I don't like dash or steering wheel, too chunky or something.
  5. here's a guide to replace the fusible links with blade fuses, it should help ya. http://www.zcarcreations.com/howto/maxifuse.htm
  6. I dun think so, I took the original bumper off mine, I'm not talking about the holes for the bumper shocks. As far as I can tell they serve no purpose. You can see what I'm talking about here
  7. Not exactly sure what a difuser is, but 75-76 280z's have 4 rectangle holes in line with the exhaust cutout on the rear valance. 77-78 280s have 1 hole next to the exhaust cutout too. I was wondering what those hole(s) are for.. Anyway, I haven't driven mine yet, but maybe someone with a 75-76 can chime in if they have the exhaust problem too. erm, I just noticed EvilRufusKay has the problem.. so uh nevermind
  8. Didn't think this was going to be easy, thanks for the tips.
  9. Does anyone know of an easy way to get fiberglass resin off of bare metal? The previous owner of my 280z tried to fix the dents in the roof by using fiberglass resin to glue the roof of another Z car onto it.. looked like shiat. There's only 1 dent worth mentioning and a couple small ones.. and he did all that crap . So I took that off and I'm going to take the dents out, but its completely covered in resin. I've tried sanding it off, but it just gums up the disc. So does anyone have any tricks for getting resin off? I was thinking of using a torch to melt it so it would scrape off easier. Is there a better way?

  13. Does anyone have one of those full-dash covers, how is it?
  14. The Syclone is a AWD 4.3 v6 chevy S-10 with a turbocharger, they were pretty limited and were only in production for 2-3 years, I believe. There's also the Typhoon which is a s-10 blazer version. http://www.sportmachines.com/history.php
