hey guys... i did some searching but didn't come up with alot... maybe it's the frustration talking. my newly-acquired 240z turbo chucked it's fuel pump today and, well, i need something to make it run again. it's mostly stock, so nothing outrageous required, but after looking at the prices for stock replacements , i figured i'd ask the geniuses of hybridz... does anybody know of a good pump to run this car that won't make me cry when i pay for it?....bob

for the price, you can do better. clutch adjustment might work, but might not but you could look at it as an excuse to upgrade ... but the real kicker is that looseness you're talking about. a 69k mile car shouldn't feel like something's about to fall off, and neither should a $2750 z-car in general... i say keep looking.

UPDATE.... so i finally got a chance to floor it.... i now know what you all meant when you talked about turbo z's! the best way to desribe it is... seat strapped to an engine, desperately holding on to the steering wheel... I LIKE!!!!!!!

mike... if i get some of my spare parts sold (to be posted soon...pm if you're looking for anything, anyone ) i'll sell you the ones that came on my 240, but they're 14's... nice and wide though! i'm looking for a creative way to finance some 16's or 17's....

nah, no flares yet. i'll probably put zg's on it when i figure out for sure what to do about the rims. the ones on there are staying a while since i hate to waste new tires, but i'd like to eventually move up from the 14's. the paint rocks!!! it's actually a white pearl and it's in killer shape... i was thinking about painting it until i saw the z in person. the pics really don't do the paint work justice... especially from my camera! the only thing that concerns me is the tint... the cops around here are bored and like to bother people with nice cars... so the nice dark tint might be forced to go. all in all... i'm a psyched z-REX... and brad was incredible to deal with.

shipped it. faster than anything... it was picked up tuesday and got to me in 26 hrs.! got my cd player in last night and it's going on the road tomorrow! my driveway suddenly gets MUCH more attention!

it's all a matter of preference. what looks good to me looks heinous to others and vice-versa. everybody has a different vision for their cars, and most will use them differently as well. i'm going with 17's because i've seen others with the same size and i love the look while at the same time realizing that they'll still handle great and if i want a smooth ride i'll drive my factory 15'd saab 9000. i wouldn't personally go any bigger but i couldn't fault anyone for wanting to. i see the benefits of not going excessive but those benefits might not mean much to someone whose first thought is the aesthetic perspective. diff'rent strokes....
