  1. Would anyone know if they worked it out to AWD?
  2. Well i'm assuming your Z32 is N/A I hope. I would definately go for the RB25 if you were planning to do this. There is going to be some major fitment issues, be careful of the turbo and downpipe on that side. However, I have seen a 2JZ into a Z32 but this was in the Middle East from those TopRpm.com guys. If it makes you happy, go for it, but try at least going the RB25, RB20 seems a little too weak. I mean the 200ZR came with the RB20, but do as you please. Good luck!
  3. I know Nismo doesn't count as OEM, but it's got a special place in my heart too!
  4. I couldn't have explained it better myself. My stock one was thrashed from either someone tried to pull the gears and the sides broke off, or that it was damaged from shipping or who knows. I felt really unsafe using the stock one and figured since I'm going to change out the stock oil and stock water pump, I might as well change the damper.
  5. I'm not too sure about how correct you are on the Turbonetics is owned by Honeywell statement. For a fact, Turbonetics does own Spearco, and another fact is that Honeywell does own Garrett. But no way in hell are the two companies the same. Anyone else have a comment about this? I've searched the Honeywell far and wide by typing in Spearco and Turbonetics and came up with nothing. I typed in Garrett and got like 100+ hits.
  6. I have this dillemma too. I think one way was to shave down the ears and weld on a plate. I can't remember who it was, but one member did that. Theres been a couple ways that have been done on this site. I have the photos saved if you want to leave your email so I can send you photos.
  7. Ooh oh oh, sorry, didn't understand, thanks for clearning that up.
  8. Well weight i'm sure is minimal, I think it was like 2 lbs from stock [on the RB25]. I noticed the 26 pulley was a lot bigger and heavier than the RB25. So on the RB26 it could make minimal differences but for us 25 guys it could be a lot? Not sure. 2 Lbs whilst it may not seem like a lot, but maybe with the lightened flywheel i'm adding could make a difference. But I haven't really ran stock to figure out what it feels like, but what the heck, out with the old in with the new.
  9. Another question for everyone. #1) Should I even think about running a GT3 series turbo with an internal wastegate? I hear sometimes these turbos can come on boost really soon and can cause problems when internally wastegated. #2) Besides the HKS Cast manifold, are there any other good choices/recommendations on manifolds for the 25 with a decent external wastegate setup? I won't even consider the SS Autochrome pieces or anything that looks chinawelded. -Thanks Guyss!
  10. Got it for 578, but I usually buy them at 595 a piece my cost. When am I close to being done? Well, gotta do the oil pump and water pump, put the new pan on, ATI Damper, then manifold. Otherwise it's one of those "if I don't stop I can finish within 6 weeks" kinda thing. I'm having trouble getting some help to have someone come weld a tranny bracket, but in due time we'll figure that one out.
  11. This particular one I bought was for the R32. I think the differences between the R32 and the R33/R34 is the offset in the powersteering pulley from what I remember. NOTE: I bought this crank dampener for my ECR33/RB25DET. There are a couple differences. I'll just list a few that I could remember. You can also remove the P/S pulley on the crank dampener which I will do since I have no use for P/S. #1) The P/S pump has like three ribs on the RB25 compared to the RB26 which has like four. #2) Water pump pulley on the 25 is about an inch smaller in diameter than the RB26. [Cavitation issues here maybe?] #3) Alternator pulley is also a tad bit smaller than the RB26. #4) Crank pulley is totally different between the 25 and 26, it's like night and day [but the belts run in the same location and should work fine]. All in all, it's a great upgrade for the 26 guys, and if you're a 25 guy, it won't hurt either unless you run power steering. Does this help anyone!?
  12. Sorry to bring a post up from the dead, but I just got my ATI Dampener today for way below retail!
  13. Yeah, I just saw that tap right now too on my block.
  14. Incase you didn't see the photos in the other thread, I decied to repost them here so you can take a gander at this marvel of a product.
  15. Guess what? Turbonetic parts can now be found at Pep Boys... just think about that long and hard. Garrett my friend is my friend as well as yours.
  16. Actually, if anyone has any connections on a GT3071R or a GT3076R with a T3 Internally Regulated turbo let me know.
  17. Thanks for the info... would you think a GT3071 [T3] Flange would fit on the RB stock manifold in the S30 with any clearance issues?
  18. I'm sorry I can't help you out on this, but this has been brought up to me a couple times about doing that same thing. I opted out and spent a lot of money on the GReddy manifold just for the fact that I love having the TB about 6-9 inches away from the intercooler.
  19. Somewhat related question! Do you guys know on the stock RB25DET (ECR33), is this turbo T3 flanged? I know it's a T28, but is it T2 or T3 flanged? I know some turbos can come in T28 form with a T3 flange. Someone please please help me out on this. My main thing would be "Could I bolt up a T3 i.e. GT35R turbo to the stock manifold?" or am I just limited to the T2 flanged turbos only on the stock manifold?
  20. Some examples are liek the GT3071R which can come either T2 or T3 flanged.
  21. I don't think I will ever get to the point where I will use 850cc injectors. Question that's semirelated to this... If I want about like 450WHP Max, should I be going for the 555s injectors or the 740s?
  22. That's what I thought, thanks for clearing that up!
  23. So I can drop in the Nismo Injectors "16600-RR543" without doing any mods to the ECU or anything? Just drop in and go? Doesn't sound right but I don't know anything. Clarify me on this. "16600-RR543" is also the part number for the 1995/1996 N/A Z32 Nismo 555 Injectors. Does that sound right?
  24. #1) In order to run upgraded Nismo Injectors, what do you need? Piggyback? #2) I know there are a couple injectors, but anyone have the part number for the Nismo 555 injectors for this application? [There are so many different 555 Nismo injectors I just want to get the right ones] OR! If there is a better alternative like SARD or anything, any advice/comments/recommendations would be helpful. Thanks!
