  1. For a few hundred bucks a paintless dent repair place will pop out most of the dents, which would reduce your bodyshop costs, reduce the amount of bodywork required, reduce the amount of bondo on the car and get your car back quicker. Its worth looking into.
  2. Hoshino Impul Racing G5, very nice wheels.
  3. Does anyone make a block gaurd (block saver) for the L series engines? Maybe machining one would help you stroker guys out.
  4. That M3 looks pretty straight, even the interior doesn't look *too* bad. As far as sacrilege, its your car, do what you will. My only question is, why a KA? Is it because you have one kicking around or somthing?
  5. It is a chop, it was done by a guy named 'Tony the Tiger' who owns the car here in Toronto. The car is a GSR that was a 12 second NA street car, its now an 11.5:1 compression 11 second turbo street car. Very nice car, amazing tuning. He's also got a custom turbo T66 V6 Camry.

    bike engines

It would be a bad match for the Z, imo. The lack of torque, poor gearing for a street car and general power delivery wouldn't be too fun. Although it might be worth it just for the sound at 10,000RPM.
  7. Just making sure that you're aware that a long block comes less any sensors and accessories, which equal $$$.
  8. Import a diesel L series?

    lsd ? yes/no

That would be a Viscous LSD or VLSD.
  10. Your car looks pretty cherry, before you go out and get new panels and respray, you might want to hit up a paintless dent repair place to see if they can pop some of that out. By the looks of it, probabaly not, but worth a try.
  11. I'm just wondering how it would look with the blue running down the scoops, along the fender tops (as you have it now,) then running along the tops of the doors instead of the roof. It might disect the car a little more cleanly, as would painting the airdam grey.

  13. I'm not sure but if I had to guess, I'd say its mostly good writing that makes her look good.
  14. Maybe sell both and finance a used Xterra or Frontier?
  15. From what I've gathered, the manifold should be 1.5 X displacement for an N/A application and 2 X engine displacement for turbo or supercharger. Longer runners will help you more if you need low end and shorter runners will benefit you in higher rpms.
  16. How many miles on your 02 sensor? Grab a multimeter and check voltage across it, I don't know the spec but sombody here should have a Haynes or Chilton.
  17. My group did a few events with TRD Canada this summer and we had an Echo hatch with a mockup of the Blitz S/C, which is apparently gonna be the new TRD S/C for the Echo/xA/xB.
  18. Just so you know, TRD springs are rebadged Eibach parts, and overpriced at that. The xB is great for what it is, but the tC is so much nicer if you don't need all the room. Then theres the 108 vs 160HP difference between them.
  19. I'm late on this one, but put in that situation, I'd probably start shopping around without breaking it off right away. Meeting new people could change your mind about your current state of affairs. You could realize that you've a great thing going or conversely, that you're one unhappy mofo. Then again, I'm 24 and 6 months is a long relationship for me, maybe you should just disregard my advice.
  20. I've been to his shop (well barn, really) and he has some seriously cool parts there, NOS from as far back as the 30's and so many used body panels from so many different makes its staggering. The owners name is Rob and he's a good guy, but not much of a business man, and fiberglass work isn't their forte.
  21. The silver pic looks like it gives the car the nicest mix of elegance, style and attitude, reminds me of SLR Mercedes' from the 60's. If you want something slightly different, maybe add a bit of blue to the base silver and shoot a silver/blue pearl over it? Or a darker Gunmetal with a pearl white clear that accentuates the curves and let the chrome stand out? Judging by the big chrome Cobra R's you're going for an updated look over classic lines, in which case I think either of those combos would look gorgeous. Red is beautiful, but it seems the colour of choice, the yellow doesn't suit the car at all, and the Indigo might look a little too modern for the VR. My $0.02.
  22. Try emailing http://www.elementautoworks.com , tell them Deep recommended you. They're based out of Toronto so I don't know how the exchange will affect pricing, but they're good guys and its worth a quick email.
  23. There are two distinct looks that I'm partial to, The first is sort of a Pro Touring meets Oldskool, basically wide modern wheels, slammed suspension, clean body with minimal add-ons aside from some ZG flares, front lower airdam and shaved mouldings, keyholes, door handles, wing with flush signals. Chrome would be minimal, reserved for the bumpers, glass mouldings and the b-pillar Z emblems. Paint would be somthing period correct or subdued, white, pale blue or green with a complimentary colour such as gunmetal. Running gear would be all modern, LS1/T56 or RB26DETT. Suspension would comprise of full coilover setup, poly bushings, sways, braces. Somthing like this, minus the fender mirrors and other items mentioned above, throw on some Volk GTN's in bronze and you've got a better picture of what I'm trying to describe. The second theme would be period JDM. G-nose, ZG flares, headlight covers, 432R wing, fender mirrors and no other body mods. Again it would have to be slammed and wearing wide rubber, but on period Sakura's or Watts. Colour scheme would be two tone, again subdued colours that look 'right' on an oldskool Japanese sports car, butternut squash yellow over gunmetal would be gorgeous. Drivetrain in this case would be a worked carby L6. This car is simply stunning, IMO, of course.
