  1. This is the T-Shirt I'll be wearing at shows... Keep discussions about it in the non-technical forum, as I created a thread there for it, but thought I'd put it as part of my build thread as a reference to how awesome that it so nearly matches my build!
  2. Are there server issues? DOS attack? - Just wondering why it's a traffic jam around here.
  3. On the web site it's three separate PDF files, with pictures from all different weird perspectives, which had me up down left and right trying to see what perspective the camera was at on which part of the car. Also, like the comments above, most have had a tough time installing these, which I think can be fixed quite easily with a few little tweaks. I'm surprised more guys aren't running these, as it's a totally sweet option IMHO. The manual in the picture looks better formatted than the PDF files offered on the site for sure. I wonder why they can't just send that out as a PDF online... it looks way cleaner, but still the pictures left me wanting. I'll do it eventually, it's just 100 some bucks I can wait to spend money on at this point. (When I do it, I'll explain hopefully better what I found to be of use in the install)
  4. Here you go ! - http://www.hammondsplains.com/z/zworld/zraceproducts/ I offered to pick these up and redo his instructions (as they are horrible IMHO) if he'd give me a discount on price.... never heard back. I like the concept a lot and will run them someday, but not in a rush to buy them and put them on now, as my hood isn't even finished yet.
  5. Not finished yet with the relay harness (Still want to shrink wrap all the wires in each subgroup) But, I think it's plain nifty... I used The awesome thread on Ratsun and labeled all the wires accordingly, for when I get the ECU/Engine in and ready.
  6. 200 dollars for brackets seems insane... but, to those who don't weld, I can get why it's tempting to pay it. That's where they are making profit like crazy, as with the seats, I wonder how much they make a pair in the end. My bud has those you picked and they are nice... I can sit in them for an hour or more and not be too uncomfortable. I'm going more for the p2 or sp2 look, but can't make up my mind to go with something from this GB, or super similar ones on Ebay...
  7. My head is going to explode... landscape, portrait, landscape, portrait, landscape.... aarggggghhhh!
  8. The Build thread is now in a better and more applicable location in the forum! - Much thanks to BRAAP! Today I spent most of the day on the Columbia river sailing around with family... needed to relax a bit, so didn't work on the car physically, but did work on some things - I ordered: 10 each of the Waytek light up fuses, in 10,15,20 amp profiles A High Amp Weatherproof Fuse Case with a couple Extra 125 amp fuses for the power lead near the battery in the rear to protect from major shorts and such Some better Power Studs, as I didn't like the one I had (with three studs on one piece), so I ordered two heavy duty individual studs for my heavy gauge power and grounds to the fuse area. A distribution block for ground leads to clean up that aspect as well. Build the To Do list for next week (if I don't, I forget small details I think about now!) - Shows my purposefulness as well in building to make things "Right". Bit by Bit it all comes together.
  9. What's the time between you transferring the money and now? Sometimes it takes a few business days (even 5-7 depending on the bank) to make the move... If it's been a while, I'm sure you'll be able to have Paypal go back and see where it went to... They've always been decent enough to work with and able to look things up well in my experience.
  10. 5 hours of wiring.... ugh, my back hurts, but things are getting there. The rear is all wired, Just need a fuel pump and I'm good to go wiring wise back there. The Steering column wiring is 90 percent of the way done! Front wires are all grouped together and out front... they will be hidden away Here's the back without the panel on: The back all nicely wired: So nice of a kit... great wire to work with: All the running of wires hidden to the back and getting everything clean and set up for the column and front, it was a ton of work. Next week I'll actually power up and start testing lights and using the meter to check everything else for correct operation!
  11. I'm hoping for more like 2200... But I have no heater/fan/ac setup, plus I'll have FG bumpers/aluminum brackets, FG seats... Someday go FG hood. I bet I'll end up settling for more, but heck, it's still light enough.
  12. Looks the same as the ones above, only with Halos... I don't know... probably the same lighting problems as listed above, but with the halos on them... I have the ones he listed up top, but just haven't played with them out of the box... maybe I'll do that tommorow and post my thoughts.
  13. I'm in the same boat - Let me see what you picked up and I'm looking forward to your test fit pics too for fitment
  14. What are you looking to spend? I have a '72 240z tank just sitting around as I went for a fuel cell. I have no idea how I'd ship it though and it seems like a pain to pay for a tank plus shipping. Seems to be a better option to craigslist locally a WTB and see if any local Z guys have one or know of where one is at in a parts car. Paying for one, plus the cost to ship it, seems not the best option. I've got one, but have no idea what it'd cost to ship and how much to charge for it and trying to box it up and clean the fumes out enough to make it safe. Coming from someone who has one, could sell it to you, and make some money off of it... I still suggest you find a more local option, as there has to be a 70-76 car there somewhere to get it from!
  15. Wow, that's an amazing piece of ingenuity history. I wonder what the reserve bid is? Now that would be a fun rebuild project, if only you could drive it anywhere. Figure it would be cool if a sand dune tour business or something along those lines picked these up, kind of like what they did with the old "Ducks" for amphibious tours up in Seattle.
  16. Please search away... there are threads out there... rb26powered74zcar did some on his car (two different ways) and could give you some tips and hints I bet.
  17. Leave it to me to buy a crappy product and play with it. Already did it with the K9 Sombra RFID alarm, might as well do it with these... I'm close to wiring up headlights, so I'll let you know what I think of these. Easy fix if they suck horribly - Throw them away and buy another set of lights, but they must be H4, as I'll always run HID (But adjust them well as to not blind guys like Hugh)
  18. Interesting... I like the idea. I wonder what it'd look like in the end - Add this to my list of things I will wait for others to try and then copy if it works! LoL
  19. Suspension and Brakes I will do later, as it's all just bolts to take off. I'll switch out rears to discs and run coilovers someday. But, despite being able to get the car to look pretty dang nice, I do so on a really tight budget, so it's all about timing and what to wait for. I'm looking at two different suspension setups, the one with the megans, but running the EM's due to cost, or another setup, tailored to the EM's, but not widely out on the forums... both are interesting to me, but I'm patient there. It's not in the pics or details, as It was less critical to me, but I did remove all suspension components and restore them and added poly everywhere I could. I didn't do new springs/shocks, as someday I'll get a better setup. Here's some pics of what I did back when the car was getting torn down... How do you get at it all easy? This is how... and how to do it with no money.... 4x4s to the stock bumper brackets, Some gate hinges, some tow straps, some roller wheels, and an engine lift and TADA! Then painted everything - on the cheap. Poly was a pain, but it was worth it for later.
  20. Whatever you do, use a paint suit and fresh air supply mask - POR15 is a water catalyst paint and if you get it in your lungs, it can do remarkable damage, much more than your typical paint. Also, if you spray it, make sure to have moisture traps or some way of keeping moisture out of the gun. POR can be sprayed, with the right thinner, some significant safety measures, and the right setup, but it still isn't suggested. It actually brushes on pretty nice!
  21. My best car friend has the bride knockoffs in his car and they are actually pretty decent. The fabric isn't too forgiving to dogs or lots of key action, but for the price, they are pretty dang nice. Let me know what you think about the P2 or SP2 waist/butt wise... I love the look of the P2 from the back!
  22. is addicted to Hybridz

  23. Are those ZG's from MSA? Let me know what you think about the fitment/quality. I'm also game to see your install as well, as another install thread just for a different perspective on the same thing is always good.
  24. Here's a good thread. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?showtopic=61076 Searching brings up a bunch more - Look for Gauge Install, or Aftermarket Gauges
