  1. Did you check the heater hoses going to your heater system first? If they are alright, maybe your heater core did spring a leak. A busted head gasket, I dought it. Is white smoke coming out of the exhaust? Is your oil milky looking?
  2. Way to go!!! You'll love your 327, I do!!
  3. Your engine looks great, but do you really think you will be in and out of paint jail in less than 20 days?? I wouldn't count on it!!
  4. Mine are fiberglass! When ever I go by a cop, they have a "What in the hell is that" look on their faces.
  5. Surfacer, is a build up primer. The idea is to spray multiple layers of surfacer, then block sand it off. This helps to "straighten" the body for a smooth looking paint job. Sealer is a must also, it eliminates bleed through, and any differences between the primer , and finish coat.It also water proofs the primer. Always buy your entire paint system from the same company, either PPG, or Dupont, etc..
  6. Did anyone ever try using dry ice on the pin first? That should shrink the pin a little to help pull it out with that tool.
  7. To get the Toyota calipers in the stock position, I had to shim outwards the chevy hub with a spacer on the spindle at the back. This brought the hub out about 1", so I had to drill out the hole a little wider outwards to get the cotter pin in. So in my case the spindle is not sticking out further.
  8. Hey Bluex. I haven't joined the club yet, but have been to meetings as a visitor. They seem to be a bunch of great guys, and there are some V8 Zs there. The Prez has a beautiful V8Z. I plan on joining soon, but can't make the June meeting. Where in Atlanta do you live? My car is finally running if you want to see it.
  9. Unfortuneatly nobody makes one for a T56. Why I don't know, you figure there should be a market.
  10. I have the Space Saver one on that site.I gave the dimensions in one of my replies. The radio and glove box fit no problem!
  11. That's cool! Where did you get the bowtie from?
  12. You can see the mod above the fan motor This is the mod in the cowl area This is with the dash loosly fitted. It doesn't stick down further then the stock heater
  13. Here's your pic Scottie. If you look close there is a spacer between the hub and rotor. This is because of the hub's studs.
  14. The only pics I have are on pages 4 and 5 in my first link below. I notched back the center seat belt bar to make room for the seat to go all the way back. Is this what your talking about?
  15. ROFL That is to damn funny, you got to watch this!!!
  16. It's only while I turn the wheel, it comes back on it's own and does not bind.
  17. Before I had it aligned, I set my camber/caster plates by eye, and set my toe as close to stock as I could. It tracked straight and was easy turning left or right into a curve. The only problem was the car would dart a little going straight. I had the car aligned, the car still tracks straight, I didn't notice any pulling. But it's harder to steer into a curve, both left and right.( I just need more arm strong steering, if you know what I mean). I didn't change anything on the rack, so I don't think it's that. I'm guessing it's the caster that's making it harder to steer like Tim said.
  18. It is lowered with coil overs, plus I have caster/camber plates. No I didn't mix up left and right.
  19. Flash, I have a pair of camel hump fuelie heads (460 I think)with small valves, not the 202's.They are 64cc and need to be rebuilt. No accessory holes. These are very good heads, if you want them I'll take $150 for them. Let me know.
  20. Did you try the Corvette hub, bearings and all on your datsun spindle? I bet it fits! My '62 chevy drum hubs fit like it was made for it.
  21. I found my alignment specs. Camber: neg 1.0 left , neg 1.0 right Caster: pos 2.7 left , pos 3.6 right toe: pos 0.14 left , pos 0.14 right Do you think this is a good alignment Tim? Is this why it is harder to turn into a corner now? Scottie, do you think your extra u-joint has something to do with those bolts being to tight? Maybe something not lined up just right. I have an extra u-joint also.
  22. Had my car aligned a few days ago. Before the alignment the car steered very easy while driving, now after the alignment I have to put some force in steering into corners. I think my alignment numbers are 1/16 toe out, 1 camber pos., and 3 caster pos. Are there better numbers to make the car steer better, or easier into corners?
