  1. Hey, that's what I started with, a '72 240Z, white w/ red interior. It had my 327 sitting in the engine bay but not running or hooked up. I payed $400 for it. Let me know when you go to the drags! Where is Eatonton?
  2. Hey Ryan, let me know when you plan on going to a Georgia Z meet. That Hooters is right around the corner from me. Mike
  3. That looks like the bigger one that wont fit. You need to find out if the core is around 20". If it's wider don't buy it.
  4. Didn't California Z's have cataletic converters? Does yours?
  5. I did it the other way, sprayed the body color first, then stripes, then clear. It would probably have been easier the way RacerX said. I used the 3M blue to lay down the stripes. The fun part was to assemble everything that the stripe would go over, then lay the stripe and keep it straight! Then take appart everything to spray the color. Click below to see pics.
  6. Did you try Summit (1-800-230-3030) or Jeg's (1-800-345-4545) ?
  7. Try taking appart the turn signal unit, It probably needs cleaning. Make sure all contacts are shinny, and everything works right.

  9. I bieleve the hazards, and TS flashers use two different flasher units, that's why your hazards work. I would go to your local auto parts place and buy a universal flasher. All flashers mount the same way. The TS flasher is the one you found under the column
  10. I used a T56 form a 96 Camaro with 22,000 miles. I paid $1200 without the clutch setup. It did come with the bellhousing which bolts to the 327. Well I guess when this guy wrecked his Camaro he was in 5th or 6th gear. When I installed it, and drove it a couple of times, all of a sudden my tranny locked up. Took it back out, and brought it to a local well knowen stick tranny rebuilder. He found that the 5th and 6th gear fork was broken, and the rail was bent, probably because of the accident. Well he replaced the bad parts, and replaced all the bearings, and checked everything else to the tune of 800 bucks! At least now I have a new tranny to play with!
  11. Propane torches are cheap, you can pick one up at any hardware store, $15 - $20 range. If I can't budge a bolt, heat ALWAYS works! The longer you heat it the better, believe me it will work.
  12. Did you try applying heat? Use a propane torch and let it get as red as you can, it should come off easy after that.
  13. Ross: If I turn the key on and off a few times it primes, and I have fuel pressure no problem. I guess I was kinda expecting to just turn the key and vroom, a half a turn later and the engine comes to life, like a modern EFI car. Lone: The pump is working normal, I just lose fuel pressure in the line over night. It drains back to the tank. It does have a low oil pressure cut out though.
  14. You found the right one, it's the one with the 20+ inch core. #952
  15. Mike, do you got the dropsies today? Or is your hand not cooperating with you today? Lucky you didn't drop that head on your foot! That would look good, a cast on your hand and one on your foot.
  16. Ya Ross, mine is wired that way. But if I leave it over night then start the car, it takes a few turns of the engine until it starts. If I turn it off then start it again a few minutes later, it starts right away. It looks like the fuel drains back to the tank over night. Any ideas?
  17. My fuel injected (edelbrock) 327 w/trick flow 18 degree heads made 435hp, 493tq on an engine dyno!
  18. I'm also using 3/8 supply and 3/8 return. The only problem I'm having is keeping the fuel pressure in the line, I'm running fuel injection. So the engine has to turn over a few times until the pressure is back up, unlike a stock system that a half turn of the engine and it starts.
  19. Those headlights are the one and only prototype that MSA wanted to sell. They couldn't make them legal for some reason and dropped the project. The guy with the flamed Z bought the only pair. I also heard if MSA did get to sell them, they would of been around $400 a set!! More than likely they were made from a mold.
  20. I have dual exhaust with ONE dual inlet and outlet spintech muffler under the car defore my diff. It sounds tough!!
  21. That's Dan's pic, but I mounted mine about the same way. What do you mean by "hook"
  22. Mine's insured by Hagerty for 20K also. They did ask if this is a race car, and kept drilling me about it, hoping that I'd slip and say yes. But I told them it's just for show .
