  1. Could be bad syncros too.
  2. Could be those. Could also be your diff mount. They are made of rubber, and after many years of launching they tend to tear appart. Get under there and move things around.
  3. I think 3/8 should be fine. What do you mean by damper. Do you mean regulator?
  4. You have a fuel problem. If your pump, lines, and regulator check out, maybe the 24# injectors are too small. I'm running 30# in my 327, but it's not a TPI it's an Edelbrock Pro Flow.
  5. I used the stock 240Z tank but added a sump to the bottom (327 EFI). I then centered the tank, after removing the spare tire well, and made new straps to hang the tank. I used a short piece of exhaust pipe to extend the fuel pipe to the tank in the new location so I could use the stock filler. Now I have dual exhaust on either side of the tank. There is room to put a muffler on the fuel pipe side but it would have hung to low for my liking. So I used a custom made Spintech muffler, dual inlet and outlet just ahead of my diff then ran pipe to either side of the tank, with resonator tips on the ends.
  6. A rattle can paint job will look very patchy, not worth the money for the cans. Leave it primer but add a sealer to keep it waterproof. Or you could spend an extra $100 or so on top of what the rattle cans cost and get a Maaco paint job.
  7. Back when I was setting up my front brakes the hot setup was using the stock rotors, with Toyota calipers. The thing was I wanted to use some Weld Wheels I had but they had a Chevy bolt pattern. I was in the garage and had a set of Chevy drum hubs that came off my '62 Impala (swiched to discs). So for the hell of it I tried them on the Datsun spindle, and they fit perfectly, even the bearings fit like it was made for a Chevy hub. So I adapted the stock rotors of the Datsun to the Chevy drum hubs, and used the Toyota calipers, and my Weld Wheels. What I'm getting at is, the stock Chevy hub should fit your spindles, give it a try. Then all you have to do is figure out how to mount the calipers.
  8. That VW swap is done very well. I've seen some V8 VW's that looked terrible
  9. jagsthatrun.com , or Summit racing 1-800-230-3030
  10. The system is not cheap, I bought mine in '98 and it cost around $900. But I got some extra things that were more expensive. I bought the Super Flow Condenser, wich is their top of the line, I also bought the Aluminum Proline Control which was extra. i don't know what the CFM is, but i do know that it cools great!! I have pics, but I haven't connected my scanner yet to scan them. If I have time I'll do that.

    Body Kits?

I take it by your name you like Cobras. How about the Tomahawk kit. http://www.zparts.com/showcase/tomahawk/index.html
  12. Go to harborfreight.com It's a mail order tool company. They do have some stores as well.
  13. I used their universal "Space Saver" model #02300-VUZ-A w/o vents heat/cool w/def.I got the one without vents so I could use the stock vents in my '72 240Z. I had to modify the cowl area a bit to fit the fan motor part of the Space Saver. The unit is one piece, fan motor, evaporator. The dimentions are 24"L X 7"D X 8.5"H. Call 1-800-to-cool-u for a catalog, I'm sure they have more choises now then when I bought this system.Ask for a complete kit, and it will come with the necessary hose kit, compressor, etc..
  14. I have a Vintage Air system, the universal Space Saver model. It was easy to install, and fits with room to spare in a 240Z. In fact I just charged up the system on Monday, and man does it run cold!! It was showing 30 degrees out the vent at idle on high cool, this cooled down my black car in the sun very quickly! in fact I had to move the lever closer to the middle because it was getting to cold! Get one they are great!
  15. Thanks, Arch so do I!!!
  16. YES! those Amp wire have to be connected! That should clear all your problems.
  17. I added a sump on the stock tank for my fuel injected 327. But this has to be welded on. Not sure you can add larger lines with out welding. Check out the pics form my links below.
  18. I like the pink better!.......NOT!!!It looks awsome Ron, great job!
  19. Use a long pump. I too used a short pump, and what a pain it is to find brackets. I ended up making my own brackets.
  20. It sounds to me like you have crud in the bottom of your tank.Have you ever checked it? When you fill the tank, it moves the crud around, and clears the pickup hole. As it settles down, it piles up infront of the pickup hole again. Just a guess, but that is what it sounds like.
  21. Update!....I fixed the fuel returning to the tank problem. I bought an AN inline one way check valve, it lets fuel go from the tank to engine, but stops the fuel from returning to the tank. Now it starts right up every time. I installed it between the tank and fuel pump, right behind an inline fuel filter.
  22. Wow, Ryan....this is a real bummer hearing about this . It's not fare, she's so young!I hope she and the baby pull through!!!
