  1. Ok if i put the maxima small chamber head on a stock 1970 240z motor what compression will i get? Is it worth it.
  2. make sure you have all you vacuum lines in the proper place spray some chocke cleaner around the intake see if you get a change in IDLE

  4. Well if your turbo boost will be the ticket but you also should get a fuel ratio guage you don't want to run to lean.
  5. I do have alot of money in it how much I don't want to think about it. Ill keep you guys updated and still under construction 1970 Z no rust only 52,000 original miles super clean interior but faded paint paint job pretty soon I hope $4000 ohh well its only money

  7. put coilovers with some stiff springs swaybars and you should drift it just fine I was drifting my friends crown victoria and I was doing faster than alot of the s13 and ae86 guys and I know a 280zx wieght is less than a crown victoria
  8. Well I have had like 4 Z cars allready. The one I have know I hope is the last. I have had put so much money in it right know its not funny I sold my turbo mustang 5.0 and my toyota truck and im driving my dads truck know im carless. I spent all the money on my 70Z im glad to say all I need know is to put the motor in it and im back on the road. I loved Z cars since my dad put a 383 performance motor on a 72z when I was 10 in 1992 then I fell in Love Im going with the flattop n42 head combo but thats enough power for me. Here is a picture of my baby.
  9. I heard that if you get a fully built sr20det and a ka24 both turbo ofcourse that the ka24 is stonger I think that the ka24 stock could make 250hp at the wheels on pump gas anymore would be pushing it The guy with the turbo problem you might have a fuel problem are you using the stock MAF?

  12. Ok I have been reading and I got 2 different answers a L28 with flat tops get 10.08 compression with a felpro and some other people claim 10.50 wich is it is the? I just recently bought the 17034 schneider cam and have 3x2 40's can I run with 91 octane on this motor?
  13. They Saticoy has some of the best weather in Cali hauses are not that expensive yet I live in Santa Paula I love the weather anywhere in Ventura County is nice

My friend has a WC T5 in his mustang and he has ran 10's on the 1420 and when I ran 11's on mine and the 3rd gear when out the gear got stuck and would not come out I have the trans it needs a rebuilt but you could have it for $50 if you want it I would just go the the wrecking yard and get 1 for $100 pick your part is having a 50% off sale on the 10-12
  15. you shoud be able to fit a 9.5 wheel i have a 8.5 and have enough room for a 9.5 and im rolling on 18's
  16. It sounds like a tps problem but check your fuel pressure that could be a problem it was on my mustang it did the same thing
  17. You could get a stock 5.0 motor low miles put a intake manifold throttle body and injectors, and a turbo. This combo will make over 500 at the wheels no problem. Some people put 700hp on the stock short block with no problems thats with the proper tunning but its not hard to make 500hp at the wheels I if you are in the southern cali I could give you hand making a turbo kit for your car.
  18. I have a pair of 71 240z struts they are allready sections but the ears where you bolt the caliper are modified to run a 92+300zx turbo calipers 4 pots. All you would need to do is get the calipers and rotor and you have a big brake upgrade. I went with my own home made wilwood kit so I don't need them anymore.   23. ok i need a head for my l24 its a stock bottom end can i put a mn42 on it i have a schneider cam 107034 it has 460 lift will i have a valve clearance problem
  24. Ok today i messed up a perfectly good e31 head, I over unshrouded the Intake valves #5 and #6 and the middle where the chambers separates is about 4mm apart. Is that too much? I got grinder happy i guess, what other head can I use on my L24 block that would be a upgrade? I have a 17034 schneider cam 460 lift will a 280z head clear the pistons?
