  2. how do i post pictures i can't figure it out
  3. im not a 280zx fan in their body line but if they make a kit like the ones you have been drawing i would buy 1
  4. could be a bad cat it happends alot on highmilage motors that burn oil it kills the cat sometimes more one side than the other if only the cat gets red hot and not the manifold i would say its the cat
  5. ok if the cat is turning red hot before the exhoust manifold it means its your car or you could be running lean
  6. ok if i port a e31 head and put the 3x2 and large exhoust and a good cam how much hp will i make? or what is a good combo that is economical and good power i laready heave the 3x2 dellorto 40's i still need to get the rest of the stuff should i use the e31 head or the n42 what do you guys recomend i allready have the e31 any suggestions
  7. I have been reading up on this head and it is my understanding, that if you put this head in a L24 l26 or l28 you will get a lot of compression. So i was wondering if I put this on a low milage L24 motor and port and polish a n42 head oversized valves headers and put my dellorto's and a hot cam how much hp will I make, and will it be streetable? i will run on 95 octane
  8. you are right i should have bought the kit myself but i wanted to try making it my self i guess just for the challenge but if you could peace to gether the parts for less its worth i should have bought the arizona z car kit but the advantage of my kit for those people running watenabe wheels you could run 15" wheels on this kit even some 14's with a 1/4 spacer i don't know you decide what you want im happy with my kit and i know it will work good
  9. sorry i havn't had a chance i took the pics today and took them to the local vons and will get the pics back in a couple of days and will post them
  10. thanks Tom ill take one of my wheels to your house next week so you could check it out have a happy thanks giving talk to you soon
  11. Ok I have coilovers and have 3/8 wheel spacers up front and rear i have to use them for the big brake kit i made i bought 18x8.5 SSR 3 peace rims they are 35mm offset how thick of a wheel spacer or wheel adapter do i need to make them fit i figure i have 24mm to make up for so that is about 15/16 wheel spacer is that right or for 8.5 wheels i need what kind of offset help i will be posting pics as soon as i finish my suspension brakes and wheels 1 week i hope
  12. asymmetric A difference between two opposing modes. It typically refers to a speed disparity. For example, in asymmetric operations, it takes longer to compress and encrypt data than to decompress and decrypt it or not having any balance so basically yeah thats normal? does it supose to be that noticable
  13. i just put a r200 in my 71 240z i used the 280z mustache bar the motorsport front solid diff mount and the diff sits more to the left is that normal? ohh i re drilled the mustache bar to the 280zx bolt patttern but space them apart perfect.
  14. i just put the rear r200 diff on my 71 240z it has the 280z rear diff mustache bar and the diff sits a noticable distance more to the left driver side. Is that normal? I have a 280zx rear diff and had to redrill the mustache bar but i space them apart perfect and i have the solid front diff mount on am i doing some thing wrong or is this normal

hey this is my favorite z is this you tom?
  16. one of the arms good its just that the right 1 is bad air tools do wonders when your taking something apart but air hammer bend the control arm when i was taking the spindle pin out i think i went to all the wrecking yards in my area and cant find 1 z not 1 any 1 ohh by the way control arms are hard i spent 4 hours and have not finished 1 im thinking of just buying the arizona z car control arms or using stock ones dempends how much money i have
  17. the spindle pin is gone but that is not the problem its the end of the control arm i think im going to make my own i figure it shouldn't take more than 3 hours to make to considering i dropped and ripped my rear suspension apart in 30 min what do you recomend
  18. my rear control arms are shot i took the spindle pin out and bushing cleaned painted got them all cherry to go back in but i noticed that the ends are bent the the rear stut doesn go in fu#* what did i do wrong should i make my own adustable set or do you think its not worth the hassle and im better of buying them
  19. i used the king cobra clutch when i had my mustang and it slipped i bought the centerforce dual friction and didn't have a problem, my car weight was 2950 with me in it and i would get the front wheels off the ground i had 600hp and i would do 8-12 runs at pamdale race track and blew my head gaskets before the clutch even thought of slipping
  20. burn the bushing of course but to take the steel sleeve out make a cut on it with a sawzaw just a small line don't want to go to deep one is enough but you could make 2 and use a socket of equal size and bank it out that is the easy way the other way is a bit harder
