You need a 14mm and a 17mm. Also its .010 and .012 cold. And .080 and .010 hot. You want to do it hot.

I believe there is a guy with the screenname Whiteboy on some street racing boards down in Texas that has a nasty fast V8 z, but he's a hardcore $ racer, so his times are not public.
I think the key part of this question is street driven. Can and does drive to and from track under its own power. Only one in the 8's or 9's that does that to my knowledge is z-gad. Whiteboy is a street legal vehicle but never driven on the street only raced.

Did you guys get a chance to see what happened if you popped the hood but let it still be latched? Did this help air flow or hinder it. Thanks

If it hasn't been done before then theres a damn good reason not to.
3sgte would be the best bet.
Actually my opinion is the opposite. If it hasn't been done before then that would be a good reason to do it. It would be an engineering challenge plus I could say yeah i'm the first who did that. But all FWD's suck so do something first with a rwd or awd:grin:

Check your coolant temp sensor. If it comes unpluged or broken it will make the car run very rich.

WOW I never realized WOW was so addicting. Everybody needs an escape once in awhile from life but that is going to far in my book and now they are hiding from life. Oh well to each his own.
But back to the topic I would have to see more photos before I would start to play WOW to get 5k gold.

Also if you are running rich it will hurt spool time. Make sure you aren't pig rich during the boost building stage.

some of those gaps seem big? I'm running NGK bpr7es-11 gapped at .025 and running 17lbs trying to run 20lbs but she keeps sputtering out? my gap was .028 but now .025 its running a little better but I still get a little sputter at high boost, if I lower the boost the sputter goes away. I'm going to get a new cap and rotor mine is kind of old, and that might also have a part in it.
I just re-read your post and you need to get non-11's so bpr7es. The -11 means more extended gap. .040" or bigger. If you plan to run less than .040" then run the non-11.
The difference is the electrode arm is shorter so it is perpendicular at .025" vs being angled down.

Big-phil I would highly recommend a blaster 2 coil. It isn't necessary stronger than a stock coil but it takes alot less time to build up the charge, so at the higher rpms it can send the full 50,000 volts? to the cap and rotor.

Looking and sounding good there Ivan. The mic on the camera really pics up the timing tensioner sounds like a supercharger. Is that the shop you work at?

Looking good there Gabe. When I went from stock efi to megasquirt my biggest improvement was in boost response. Mostly in the lower gears it really let it spool up alot quicker. Plus with a good tune you can gain atleast 10-15whrp. I have installed quite a few and currently installing another one on a friends car so if you have any questions shoot me a pm or ask me at SEZ. Miata= more reliable=better gas mileage= better brakeing = better handling etc...
z31= maybe faster in straight line = more masculine(if not pink)
