  1. Is their anyone coming from Texas to SEZ that I could follow behind in my RBZ (if I end up being able to make it)??

I could join in with you on the Interstate-10, as you come thru Lake Charles... :burnout:

Yepo i'm coming from Houston going I-10. I am leaving early to mid friday since I would rather be there friday night and then relax all saturday. I will be driving my 350z with Olie05 as a passenger. Let me know if you want to meet up.

  2. Went and picked up the 383 from the machine shop, so I'll try to get that together and I called on the z. Remember that the 383 build is a trade for the paint on the z. I used a good 4 bolt 350 block, eagle crank, eagle rods, Jade forged flat tops, balanced, World products heads (he had already), comp xe hydraulic cam. Should work ok.

Ok, so the z is painted inside and all the jambs done, primered outside. Needs block sanded, painted, clear, and then flames over the clear. So, it'll be awhile, but at least it's moving along.

    Atleast its movement. Congrats

  3. If you have an aftermarket steering wheel it might not be compatible. If it is compatible or you have an oem wheel then there is a little stud sticking out of the steering hub that will hit the turn signal lever inside of the steering housing( ) Can't really describe it but basically its behind the steering wheel, so take it off and see if anything is kaputt. Good luck

  4. I don't think many people have done that kind of boost on a stock block...Maybe it is because your car is actually tuned properly!

Welcome to the HBZ smackdown! :-D

I ran 18psi when I blew a felpro headgasket. Then upgraded to metal headgasket nothing else and ran 23psi with no problems. If tuned right the l28 can handle the boost.

  5. Thanks guys! from a dead stop we both SUCK:) he has a multi plate clutch, and I have that new 6 puc solid disk clutch. We both have trouble from a stop, lol

Yeah with a holset Z you really need to slip the clutch to get a great launch. If I dumped my clutch I would get 2.1 60 foots but when I started slipping I got it down to 1.9's My sentra I had 6yrs ago had a 4puck and from memory that thing was on/off no slipping so good luck with that.

  6. Congrats on the new car Ted..I finally have the 280 running again so give me a call if you want to check it out.

Well tonight i'm planning on going to a car meet. Its on the North Bound feeder of 249 slightly south of fm1960 you're welcome to join.

Z-gad, Thanks i've read about that problem also and I'll be keeping an eye on them. They look like they have 90% tread left so we will see.

Big-Phil, Wait I can't own a car good looking, quick someone get some rust colored paint so that I can make it look like my regular z's :flamedevi

Jnj, Yepo already planning trip. Requested off of work and ordering the necessary parts so i'm not the slowest 350z there. Hopefully the, oh I have to go too training guy, will be able to make it. That way we/spectators will have a v8 vs I6 run for the best time:mrgreen:

Prox, Actually now i'm rolling in month payments I was rolling in cash/debt. I'll be making a few sacrifices to afford this but in my opinion well worth it.

Warren, Oops I meant SEZ#8. No SEZ in fall this year? Hey you never know about the drag radials I could put some 4 lug adapters on and......:icon56:

  7. Well i've been wanting a 350z as a daily driver for quite sometime now. And for the last 3 months i've been looking intently. Finally last thursday I found the model I want for the price I want. It is an 12/02 350z touring Black with black leather seats, bose speakers, navigation system, vdc, and 18" rims. A couple of times I came close to finding the one but right at the end something would come up either wrong price, salvaged title, or not the right options.

I went and drove and 2 1/2 hrs and picked her up today. This is the first car i've owned that put a smile on my face and kept it there for the entire 2hr trip home. Even my 11 second 260z that I poured so much effort into could only put a smile on my face but as soon as I hit a road trip it was uncomfortable and I was always afraid it would break down.

She is stock for now but that will soon change as soon as the parts get here. Nothing serious for now just the big things that help like the intake plenum spacer, cat-delete with resonators, and a jwt pop-charger. The main reason I pushed to get her all of sudden is so I can get it ready for SEZ9 and this time show up in style instead of in umm does anybody have I spare tranny so I can swap it in the hotel parking lot and don't mind the primer:mrgreen:

Here is a few quick shots I just took of her, no sun so I'll try to take some better ones in a couple days. Tomorrow she will get sythetic engine oil, tranny fluid, and diff fluid. I also have some type of wax on the steering wheel I removed alot of it but still have more to clean off.

  8. Hi Phil,

You're gonna have to carry your video camera around for us. I know your talent for steering with your left knee, shifting with your right hand, and holding the video camera with your left hand. Drive safe.:-)

I just had a funny visual of Phil racing. One hand on the shifter, one hand on the camera, knee on steering wheel, shoulder holding the cell phone telling Chris to hold on, and Phil singing 'Another one bites the dust'. Nice kill now take it to the track and see what she really can do.
