  1. The intent of it was as an aid in the warming up of the car. In the US most dealers disconnected it due to safety concerns because the only way to reduce rpms with the lever at full throttle was to push it back to idle rpms. It was not controlled by the brake. This was not a cruise control unit, it was a strictly manual lever throttle control. LARRY
  2. The left side slot is for the choke lever and the right side slot is for a manual throttle lever. LARRY

  7. Your picture of the sunroof looks exactly how my sunroof looked on my 76 TR-7 that had a factory installed sunroof. Here's an example of that sunroof. BTW it never leaked. You would pull it back and it would fold on top of it's self in sections.
