  1. I've got the stock T3 off my L28et, and the exhaust side is good but the intake side has a slight endplay. What is the acceptable amount and how do I measure it? Phyte
  2. Ok I've got it. I went to a place called Austin Rebuilders and they hooked me up with everything I need, for cheap too! He looked at what I had, went into the back and 30 seconds later I had everything I needed. Thanks for the help everyone. Phyte
  3. Ok you've convinced me to keep trying to find a new one. My system has the york compressor with ALL rubber lines. I'm alittle confused because you said the factory had all rubber lines and had a hitachi compressor. Mine has all rubber lines with a york. I found a place here in Austin that has a drier that sounds like the same fittings mine have(over the phone), but they both are not on top. One is on top and one is on the side. There is a switch on the top. Will this one work as long as the fittings match up?? I'm leaving in about 5 hours to get it so hopefully this will get answered! Phyte
  4. Its definitely factory. I'm going to try the old drier and if it works great. Like I said in a couple months I'm swapping out everything under the hood and I'll switch in a new one to go with the new compressor, etc. I took it to them and we tried about 5 different driers and non of them looked even close. Hopefully the 78 280z one they ordered will be the right one. We'll see on wednesday I guess. Phyte
  5. Its funny. 6 months ago I would of read the whole thread. Now I just don't care about these kind of things. In the last year I've learned its all about your own family and not wasting time on things like this, but making your life and your families life better. It sucks what happened to him, and no one will ever know the truth. Phyte
  6. My 260z is stock, but it does have an L28. As far as I can tell the A/C system is all 74 stock down to the York compressor. So far o'rielly and autozone have not been able to get the right drier for me. I had autozone order one for a 78 280z that had a different part number. Otherwise everything from 70-77 uses the same part. Here's my question. The stock A/C drier looks good, but it was kinda open to air for about 6 months. It was all bolted up so the air(moisture) would of had to go down the high line, through the evaporator and back up to the drier. What are the chances if I just use the one that was in it that it will hurt something? It still has fresh pag on the threads and there is no sign of moisture. I might note that I'm installing an L28et in a couple months so I'll have to use the 83 compressor and I can replace the drier then for that. Phyte
  7. Awesome. You got a timeline on that video You can send the original files to jmartin@sitesfor.com if you want. I don't have a limit on my email so don't worry about file size. I'm collecting Z vids! Phyte
  8. Good kill! What are your mods? Next time get it on video Phyte
  9. Ouch is right! Autozone has them for $47/p Phyte
  10. Why in the world would they drop flash bangs down the exhaust? What possible good could that do. Phyte
  11. We did this to our persian about a month ago.. looks EXACTLY like that cat in the first post. Phyte
  12. Firing order like Tim said, also did you gap your plugs? Phyte
  13. Cool vid! Any information on the datsun? Phyte
  14. Thanks. It looks like this guy is right in the ballpark. Plus I can sell two to someone here to complete a set for them Phyte
  15. I've got a guy that has 2 sets( 8 ) brown top injectors from an 87 tbird turbo coupe willing to let them all go for $65 shipped. He says they all work. Not sure what junkyard prices are now a-days. I know they are $47/p new. Phyte
  16. Don't you need a Z first Isn't that one your dad's, and the other shell went to the junkyard? Happy bday Phyte
  17. Ok you are DEFINITELY getting my wiring harness. Its complete, but I don't have the time to figure it out, and for $60 thats money WELL spent. The engine is ready to goto the bath, and my head is going to KS in July for a rebuild so it will be a month or two. How long does it typically take to get the harness back? Thanks Phyte
  18. What RPM are you shifting at? Its seems like your 2-3 and 3-4 shift is too soon. It sounds like your letting the rpm's go up in 4th and it really starts to pull. Phyte
  19. What a great way to advertise your products. I didn't think you were making the fuel rails anymore, what do those run? <-- See it's working on me Phyte
  20. Ok P90a it is. Any other comments? Phyte
  21. BTW I searched and I found one big debate but it was all about N/A engines. Phyte
  22. I've got both heads. I'm using the stock pistons, so the N47 would make the compression too high right? I don't want to be limited on boost because my comp ratio is too high. Phyte
  23. I don't know.. Put it in the trunk or something JK.
