  1. which is exactly when he PM'd me and we made the deal. So?
  2. yes and priority mail which confuses me as to how it took an envelope 1 week to get there. the least that could be done is a response, a tracking number would be excellent.
  3. This is almost the third deal I've had fall through after sending money on a crank pulley though, this car should've been done around the 4th of July. So I'm getting a little impatient, I didn't want to send a money order either but it was better than just sending cash so I could have a stub saying the amount and to whom.
  4. 2 weeks ago, sent him money (he doesn't have a paypal or something like that because somebody didnt pay him enough and they wouldn't pay him back for lost money) via money order to texas, and then the tracking number said it was delivered on a tuesday, but he apparently doesn't get it til thursday/friday sometime... Then he claims he sent out the crank pulley on monday, but it still isn't here and he won't answer any of my e-mails? Anyone else ever deal with Sticky280zx in this shady type manor? or am I just being paranoid and impatient?
  5. never said you couldn't post some interior standalone soon to be finished.
  6. Fell through, still need the crank pulley. let me know
  7. Where did you mount the turbo AFM? I'm in the process of a turbo swap myself, cool to see that you went the same route. Mine's going to be stock until I finish everything else about my car. You still in the MT?

  8. Hey, mine just imploded around the key slot... So I'm looking for another one, its a turbo L28E (p79 head ZX motor, turbo'd) Shouldn't make a difference in the balancer. Thanks, Pm me for more info or a deal!
  9. Double powdercoated black 15x7 Enkei 92's 0 offset with 205/60/15 tires. IMO they look better with the 235/50 hoosier slicks on them
  10. I noticed the same thing when I lowered mine! What rims are those? they look slick
  11. finished megaskeet/turbo build. except for the leak in the front cover seal > just have to fix that, maybe seal it on the outside without taking it off? either way, here it is.
  12. You and I are in much the same stages haha, except mines turbo and megasquirt... Im super jealous of your rustfreeness however, looks 10x better than the old Z! Congrats Kinser!
  13. Hmmmm, stripped the majority of it, I'll post pictures of it in a bit with the new seats and all.
  14. 18, bought my z at 16, I had been auto-crossing my saab 900 turbo for a while, but wanted something much sportier, japanese and old. So naturally I went for the Z series, I knew a neighbor who had the coolest old 280z so I hunted around till I found a steal of a deal on one with a new motor/trans and a clean body, $1800 for 90,000 original body miles and 30,000 motor/trans. We're at about 111,000 body now and 51,000 miles on a newly built turbo motor and megasquirt. Its been a street car, daily driver, track car all at once.
  15. Sweet, yeah I have room to move it back. That would work better.
  16. Bueller? this is the most common L28et swap... someone has to have a map
  17. Looking for a base tune, didn't find anything in the Sticky MAP's that was close to mine. Here are the specs: -MSII PCB3.57 -Stock Turbo 6psi(w/jpipe and BOV) -L28, P79, Stock Cam, Flat top pistons (8.7:1) -Stock FPR -Stock fuel rail -Stock HG -Stock 280zxt Dizzy -Stock 270cc ZXT injectors -Walbro 255LPH -3" straight exhaust -NGK spark plugs Thats about it, anything else that you guys might need let me know. Brief sidenote, you can see that the relayboard is located in between the brake booster and the strut tower under the hood, is that gonna be an alright mounting location? the DIYautotune site says that its okay to have it in the engine bay, but washingtons rain and the z's sealing capabilities make me think that it probably needs a cover of some sort?
  18. Meph, your car gives me excitement in ways I shouldn't describe haha. Finished up the motor, got to wire in the IAT and the Dizzy/+12v for the MSPCB3.57 then its go time (the relay board on the bottom right should be safe there... right?) Its time for some booooost
  19. Hey Hybridz, as the build is coming to an end it comes time for the inevitable intercooler construction. Does anybody know of any piping kits that actually work with S30's? A friend of mine said that the DSM Intercooler piping kits work good, normally I would go have it custom built, but I'm on a serious budget and now its come to piecing together a junkyard Volvo FMIC with a piping kit from the web. It would be nice to get a list of kits together that work and make a sticky, but thats just a pipe dream now-a-days. Thanks, Sean.
  20. Current exhaust, 3" downpipe... Going to be a 3" to side exit exhaust, right in front of the rear drivers side wheel. (going to cut a little of the body out) Still debating on what muffler (if any) that I want to use. Side note, Megasquirt claims its okay to have the relay board in the engine bay, but do they take into account the older cars that leak water and road debris/water that kicks up into the engine bay, specifically the open relay board. Does their claim hold any water? (no pun intended )
  21. *sigh*.... some peoples children. P.S. Make him a good offer after looking for the rust, then go for it. Focus on chassis rust and rear end, the rest is easy to fix mostly...
  22. well now I feel dumb rturbo, ive spoken to this guy in norway before hahah
  23. Its helped me with my Z more than I could ever describe, it made friends that I run into a lot now. It has also sealed the deal on my career as a mechanical engineer which I'm currently going to the University of Washington in Seattle for. Its played a big role for the technical aspect, but the top inspiration and help to my life really has been the Z itself.
