I have a deep connection like skib, people ask me if I get lonely when I travel from place to place in my car by myself for racing. I simply answer no because I'm with Z, like its a person. It keeps me company, its kept me going, and to be honest It kept me alive when I was in some very rough patches of my life. Its saved my ass getting away from situations I or my friends needed to get away from quickly. Its past the 3 girlfriend bar, and its here to stay. Everytime I contemplate selling her, I feel like I owe it to Z to be finished and restored to the beauty it could be, no matter what the cost. Its an addiction, and thats an understatement.

I dont have a build thread ,but I thought I'd post up some info on what I have done and what my car started as just for a basic reference. People have asked me recently and I've had trouble getting the "garage" feature to work so here are some photos and a brief description of what I have done and what has been done to the car. first purchased the car for $1800 and it had these mods: 108k body 45k 81zx motor/ 5sp trans (p79 flat tops) aluminum driveshaft ZXT LSD (figured it out last weekend at Auto-x upon some digging) will figure out the ratio next go around stolen radio, weight reduction i guess here is a photo, rather shanty (my first race, remember it like it was 2 years ago ) first thing I did was remove the rear louvers, and the headlight covers (someone removed them for me :\ ) then I upgraded the alternator because it crapped out on me, then did the maxi fuse upgrade (BIG THANKS TO MAT for all the help during the down period) and the E12-80 Dizzy upgrade. got daily drove here in MT for a while lol moved a couple times built a cold air intake, shaved the bumpers my two shop friends springs installed (cut tokico HP's) went through a JDUM phase. got sick of it then bought some Enkei 92's (a little more refined and rare than the green mk2's) on 205/60/15 tires how she currently sits with semi stripped interior, walbro 255lph electric fan, and some other goodies that I'm forgetting I have more photos and what not ,but I think that mostly covers it. I have big plans for the car, I just have to see which ones I can afford first thanks for looking, sean.

yes, and if it is in your alternator currently I strongly suggest not screwing with it. if you have all of your Red/white wires going to your fusible links, why worry about it so much. take the four wires you need Headlight relay Efi relay fuel system alternator starter relay and then take the wire from the starter like I did and others have done, things are alot more simple then they sometimes appear, unless of course your in a paradox universe like Tony D or your in the twilight (the homo free) zone.

I'm all for a good challenge, but sometimes it just makes more sense to get a better platform and start over. You can't save them all, Z's will deplete in crazy amounts here in the next 5-10 years I'm willing to bet.

man, bob just keeps blowing my mind. When I was at the sniping course , the general was out there bsing with the SSGTs about the same question posted a few pages back, and what he said was that you need to lead off the target by a few clicks, same as you would a moving target to the left or to the right. you need to aim below the brick, now that being said it ALL DEPENDS on how long the brick has been falling, if it is at maximum velocity, you will obviously have to aim lower. If it has just fallen off of a stand, you will have to aim nearer to the target. Also, the brick won't fall in the same exact position, it will end up having a "knuckle" effect and twist and spin and rotate. From 200 yards, its alot harder of a shot as well. We could sit out on course with the Barretts all day and hit pencil points at 200yd, but give them a falling object from say, 150ft its a hole different ball game and I bet you only 5-6 out of 20 would hit it in the first 2 goes. (thats usually all we got to try a "trick" shot)

same problem, it was the power wire going to the fuel pump, me being american and lazy wired in a new relay from the battery to a switch, and from a switch to a walbro 255lph pump. works great now, not one more problem since.

I have the same symptoms, but after about 15-20 minutes of driving the valves start clacking loud and get louder when I hit the gas... is this the same problem ?
