I'm doing a body kit on my Z and have a good hood, hatch and front fenders for anyone who wants to pick them up. I'm in a northern section of Atlanta, GA

Is it better to have the dipstick located on the passenger side or the driver's side? (does it matter?). My set-up will be an old school 350 (after market aluminum heads) and a WCT-5 tranny. I did a search and did not find an answer except for one member cursing for getting an engine w/ the dipstick on the passenger side (he didn't explain his frustration). Thanks!

Yep, BZ3099 is for the Illuminas.

I'm pretty sure the year(s) are 1987-1989 MR2. Part # HZ3099 for the non-adjustable versions-about half the price of the adjustable ones.

When I'm not searching for technical information I often read the non-tech forum to get a laugh or get insights on things not Z related. I consider myself to be a moderate conservative but after reading some of the viewpoints expressed by liberals on this forum I have modified my attitude on some issues and have become a more independent thinker. If you do decide to move to Canada don't forget to bring the stinky cheese to go with your California whine!

Man, I think that color is way cool! It fits in perfectly with the retro craze thats going on now with cars. I can't believe the new Mustang or GTO doesn't have a factory color like that; remember "Plum Crazy" or "Grabber Green" from the sixties musclecars? Anyway, you are the one who has to get up and look at it everyday. If you like it who gives a f*&$ what other people think. Remember...this is Hybrid Z!

I picked up a set of 87' L98 heads about 6 months ago to use on this project. I got them for $500 and they are in excellent shape (rebuilt, glass beaded, etc.) That was before I found this website and began reading the numerous horror stories of people trying to fit headers on angle plug heads in a Z (can't change plugs, steering shaft clearance issues, frame rail issues, blah, blah, blah). Now I just want to puke. Should I sell these heads and get some straight plug heads or go ahead with what I got (could use rams horn manifolds or Sanderson QP1000 cast series-35lbs and $480!). Son of a B!%ch!
