  1. I'm not planning on doing much. Like I said I'm only going through it replacing the bearings throwing in some GTE pistons and rods, arp head studs, custom manifold and a turbo. Just trying to get it running and driving.
  2. Got my 2jz today SOOO excited for this build now My plans are to go through the motor check the bearings and everything and the throw in my 2jz-gte rods and pistons, and turbo cams maybe. FFIM (Forward Facing Intake Manifold), Single turbo manifold with a Precision turbo don't what size, R154, ARP head studs, and a head gasket and hope for 600hp LOL
  3. TurboFC3C that is a very nice Z you have there. Madkaw: I can see you did. I've notice that alot of people want the Cartech stuff but it's too much money. I really hope I can sell the whole swap because that would give me enough money to just get the motor in and running. Anyways thanks
  4. Madkaw you think? That thing is beautiful!!!
  5. My setup is officially for sale as of yesterday because my 2jz is going to be at my house today. So check it out and let me know what you think.
  6. Sounds like fun. Good luck with your build. Anyways UPDATE!!!!!!!!!! My 2jz is going to be at my house tomorrow. I can't wait. Will take some pics and post them tomorrow.
  7. Oh ok cool well good luck with your project. Are you putting the RB in the 240z?
  8. My cartech kit was bought when they first came out and was installed on my old 240z. It's hard to find a complete kit anymore.
  9. They make TE37's especially for the Z and other low offset cars like it. http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/2009/uploads/products/VOLKQ/VOLKQ_TE37V/wheel.jpg
  10. I am currently trying to get my setup running. I've started it once and it sounded AMAZING. Right now I'm running 40mm Mikuni's with a Cartech box and a T04b turbo. Here's some pics Really and truly it's all 80's technology, but they did pretty good with designing the setup. The only thing I would change is the carb box, or plenum, just because I would like to design and make my own sheet metal box with a better flow.
  11. Actually you don't really have to move your head that much to see the boost gauge that I have in now. I wasn't planning on doing any sort of system in the Z because I really like this setup for music http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/82278-good-portable-mp3-sound-system-for-the-z/ and it's removable and doesn't need any major holes cut. The gauges actually look like they belong there, which was very surprising to me. Anyways if you want I can make a template on CAD w/ dimensions and send it to you. You have a 280z too don't you?
  12. Dude GT5 prologue was competitive with Forza 3. I actually bought a Xbox 360 just for Forza but now I want a PS3 for GT5
  13. Finally got some kind of wheels on my car They are 14x7 all the way around with 185 tires on the rear and 175 in the front.
  14. I would prefer a whole harness so that I don't have anything hacked up. Do you have one section of the harness or the whole harness?
  15. Hi I need the harness that goes to the alternator on the passenger side of the motor from a '75 280z. Mine shorted out and then I bought a '76 harness and found out that they are different. So please let me know what you have. I need it asap if you have any questions about what I need call me at 386-265-3347 Shane.
  16. Today I washed her and cleaned up the exterior and the wheels. I also put in my homemade gauge panel and boost gauge. I have to find 2 more gauges but I don't know what gauges I want. Anyways here's the pics.
  17. Oh I thought you were talking about the rubber that covers the shifter. I have the piece you're asking for but I need it because I have a Crown Royal shift boot.
  18. Today I finished installing my rims. Here's some pics. Little bro preparing to put on the rim Front wheel well Still preparing but now doing the one legged dance LOL Rear wheel well http://tinypic.com/usermedia.php?uo=XAS1fUiO8rDgJmxNjuheDYh4l5k2TGxc Little bro starting to put the wheel on after BSing for 5 mins. He couldn't get it on the first time, so he started complaining about me taking pics of him failing LOL He still couldn't get it on He gave up so I ended up finishing it Back on the ground Front wheel gap because of screwed up springs The Suburban and the Z in the driveway
  19. I went and picked up some new rims and tires for the Z last night. They are knockoffs but they look really nice and have some almost brand new tires. They're 14x7 0 offset with a 3-4 inch lip. The best part about it is that I gave the guy $50 and a strut bar for his civic. Anyways onto the pics Also the person who put these lowering springs on put them on backwards, as in fronts in the back and backs in the front, so it sits as if it had no motor in it. So now I have to reverse them so that it will sit right.
  20. Ok so when I bought my 280z I also got a 240z and the 240z had lowering springs on it. Well I ended up selling the 240z but instead of just taking the springs off I took the whole suspension out of the 240z and put it on the 280z. So now I have a 280z with 240z suspension and some unknown lowering springs. I know they have to be old school springs because the whole 240z was full of old school stuff like my Cartech turbo kit and triples from the 80's. My real question is who makes/made yellow lowering springs for Z's?
  21. That's high if your driving to pick it up. I got mine for free but I see them every once in a while in good condition for no more than $75.
