  1. I purchased 5 of these for other members when I was on my annual Japan vacation last year. So I would think there are closer to 10-15 members who have these now. I was able to get them shipped to their door stateside for $520 a piece. I love mine. Cool piece with a ton of R/D behind it. Highly reccomend for those in the higher RPM band.
  2. Pete, I was able to get a set of 76 280z panels today. Once I get your address I can send them to you along with a section of my carbon fiber as we discussed on the phone.
  3. Pete, Thanks for getting back to me on the panels. I will be at a junkyard tommorrow morning. If I can find good panels are you needing them?
  4. Aussie, Kiwi whatever. Just busting your balls....Try some anti seize when you put the new cam gear back on.
  5. You act like the method I used was an imaginary one. Worked for me. Only took a little longer to drill a second hole. Tapping doesn't take long. Must be a down under connection that makes rip's post suddenly feasible. Although a good idea.
  6. While we are waiting on Daeron. The type of panels you produce require power windows because the speaker location correct?
  7. Semper Fi. I did my young buck days there on Okinawa as well. Rules are much different there now than my day but still lots of fun to be had.
  8. I cannot answer with specifics but I run a 12 rear and a 9.5 front with no issues at all. Feels fine as far as handling and steering. I have not tracked the car simply spirited driving to and from work.
  9. Advan made a wheel like that. Was mostly popular on the Ae86 cars. If I find it tonight I will post it up.
  10. Pete, Door panels with out the frills of speakers or arm rests? Lower halfs with no holes drilled. Yes or no?
  11. Stock JDM driverside with a fabbed up USDM driverside is about as low buck as it comes. Use the tranny to set the motor in straight and fabricate in place. Worked for Stony and when I bought them they work for me.
  12. Rb25's cn be found in just about any offbase junkyard around the KAB or Chatan areas. For a Rb26 I would ask nim to godown to HAS for a quality motor. You are going to pay for the RB26 if you get it from a shop like HAS. A simply used motor from an individual would be found in either the Quick or Cross Roads magazines at the BookBox. What service is your brother in?
  13. This problem is more prevalant to the Rb20 and 25 I am told. I removed mine by drilling 2 holes in the face of the gear, tapped it and removed it with a steering wheel puller. Bought a new timing gear and called it a day. Hope it comes off for you..
  14. The SSR Mesh 2 piece rims coming to me are 15 x 9.5 j with an offset of -2. The rear rims are 16 x 10j with an offset of -7. I will have to double check the offset numbers when I get home but they were too rare for me to pass up. I am expecting them to be delivered this Thursday. I like the deep dish rims with the low offsets because there is no way they rub on anything. Paired with some nice flairs and they look killer.
  15. Keep looking you'll find something. Have you tried looking around the 240sx crowd. They seem to be moving towards the bigger rims and deep dish is always cool. I have a set of 16's coming from Japan if interested I can PM you the specifics.
  16. Would it be possible for a stock middle piece to be made. This way the replacement CF panel is just like the factory one. 3 pieces. Also any new news on availablity
  17. 215/60/14 is what I have on my front rims but they are 9.5j. Maybe a 195 or smaller for your 14 x 6.
  18. Bingo, Those look like the plates I started this thread about. Where did you find them? With these plates a stock set of cast manifolds will work out just fine.
  19. After taking Brian's thought on rewelding the bolt pattern on the exhaust manifold I am even more motivated to do this. The twin tubular manifolds are fairly inexpensive and easier to weld on than the cast, so first I will have to grab a set of them. I am thinking of adding new ears on them similar to how MMS adds to the rear hubs for the 5 lug pattern. Grab a set of BNR34N1 turbines and then start bolting on things such as downpipes, cold piping and BNR3X front mount. With a forward facing plenum it should be a real unique Rb20. Have to make sure my brother-in-law keeps mailing me the parts. Time to re-pull the RB20 and put it back on the stand. More mods time...Will definitely have to start saving pennies for the injectors and cams now...
  20. Brian, Sure enough I caught the adapter part in the title and totally overlooked the surge tank portion in front of it. Boy do I feel like an ass for not looking at the pic. Good catch...Still pricey for an adapter but not a bad option for those without access to an aluminium welder. Rb26 surge tanks are cheap on yahoo..
  21. Found it. Do not remember it being this expensive. Anyways here is the link. I have found a couple different twin turbo RB25 manifolds. May be easier to just grab one of them. Looks simple enough to duplicate. Not that I am advocating copying someone else's design and research.....But if I had access to the proper tools....It would be done...http://page16.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/u13327494
  22. Also looking for this panel. Would be able to supply my own carbon fiber if that helps...
