  1. Nice piece..My advise is to keep it on the shelf and wait for another RHD car to come up for sale. Couple weeks agao one in FL sold for $600. Time is all that is a hassle converting LHD-RHD once you hace the RHD components. Easiest way I found was to swap firewalls, front subframes, dash, steering colmun and then resale the donor as a LHD car to recoup expenses. I have done this on S13's a handfull of times and always broke even.
  2. NAPS....Nissan Anti Pollution System.....Also read Nissan anti performance system...If I remember correctly it has 2 very tiny ass butterlies instead of a standard size throttle body. Very restirctive looking....Never used it so I cannot say scientifically it is restictive but I never heard of anybody keeping it either...
  3. Buy arabian gold while there. A friend of mind stayed there for a couple months. Haggled the guy down on a ring from $500 to $55. Got some paperwork to show authenticity and descpriptions of stones, quality. Got it appraised stateside for a little over $2000. Gave it to the wife as an anniversary present. Haggling is part of the deal over there so never pay full price for an item...Services I am not sure of...See if you can get down to where they are building this huge man made island. Shaped like a palm tree I think. Absolutely massive. Multi million dollars houses and shops going up there. Suppose to be another project that is shaped like all the different continents as well. Not sure how far along that one is. There will be lots of old datsuns around there. I am not suggesting digging around in the junkyard but keep your eyes open for a 240K or KGC110. Could pick it up cheap and ship back if you had time...
  4. I guess I should have been more specific about location. Ca doesn't cut it?
  5. Super dan, I had three posting yesterday in the classifieds, engine parts section. Today they are gone. If I posted something in the wrong spot. I will correct if I know what is wrong. I did not receive a notification that something needed to be correct or anything else whatsoever. Had some interest in these parts but I did not check the paypal directly option. No new money in the paypal either so I am a bit confused. Do I simply need to repost? Didn't see anything in the FAQ section covering this specifically....Thanks Eric
  6. Definitely a nice car all around...Care to share any info on the one off looking surge tank and intake manifold you got going on there..
  7. I drooled over the MODIFIED magazine coverage of this car last month. I am sold. Think it is a wonderful idea. Hope a bunch of these kits make it out there so later I can afford one...
  8. FIXED!!!!!Ended up being the shaft in the oil pump was a bit worn. Pressed in a new one and all the associated copper bearing races and wala. Damn oil pump....
  9. I hit him up about the rear quarters and rear hatch not being correct for a 1970. VIN was also a glaring clue. It looks like some action has been taken to correct the listing description. This guy has the worst english I have ever seen. At least spell check something if you are trying to sell it..
  10. I would be interested in the RHD portion of the car but that is all. Too bad the auction is full of incorrections. I e-mailed him a couple days ago but no corrections had been made. He is probably hoping that the g-nose keeps bidding going as the rest is not to desireable.
  11. Very interesting body kit. Good to hear that the swap is good. Love the smaller diameter wheels and is that a Saporro can painted on the side of the car?
  12. Nice video althought it makes me urk everytime it voomed into the 2 hakosuka's GTR emblems. I dislike non KPCG10's that put the emblems on anyway. I know the two owners personally and are nice guys but hearing people talk about the cars there as original GTR's drove me to leave early. Tons of nice cars there and I will be joining next year. Even if I have to quit my job in order to be there with the car...
  13. I have never looked at doing this but I would look at decking the block if the headgasket change won't give you enough of a drop. That way the head is still capable of future mods if needed.
  14. I am looking into this because of the more modern design, easy access to parts and lastly strong aftermarket options. Disc brakes and the ability to bolt in stronger hubs that are nissan parts is appealing as well.
  15. I love this thread. Only wish someone made the brackets necessary so I could knock this mod out even quicker. Looking at a 71z now and I am more excited about this mod than the RB sitting in the garage waiting for a home. Hoping their are others out there that have done this mod recently...Any additions for tricks...
  16. What other projects are being looked at? If I break my current block then I may be interested in an aluminium block but cost and time would be a concern.
  17. Ben240z. Pretty sweet pics. Loved the video as well...Gives me some hope to see mine run that mean before too much longer. Curious about the distributorless system you are running? Way different from mine. Is that a cam angle sensor running off the old oil pump drive? And how do the coil packs directly over the plugs work out. Very cool and love the dry sump action as well. The whole thing makes my ITB/laser guided ignition system from Redline look normal ...
  18. Well I don't think a repro valve cover would fetch the same ballpark as an authentic LY cover. However I do see CSR water pumps and aluminium radiators from our market sell over there for hefty mark ups. More and more rear brake conversions and suspensions sets as well are showing up.
  19. I used the ask seller a question link to invite him here to Hybridz so he could view my member's gallery so he could see I was a legitiment KGC10 owner as well. Hoiping to get more info from him as to who brought the car over and when. I had heard rumors from other GC10 owners that there were 2 in Wa state. This was of course the first I saw pictured. Brian (awkitz)sp? told me he was looking for $30,000. Nice car but not that nice. Granted they are rare here but they do not have a loyal enough following here to demand that kind of price. If I am wrong then mine will be going up on the block for a lot more than that.
  20. I agree that this is an absurdly high price for a valve cover but I saw a black LY28 cover sell for more than the above listed price of $3,000.00 Crazy Japanese huh..
  21. Sounds like you got a plan going. Hope the car is going to someone who appreciates what he is getting. I didn't know the ebay car had a asking price of $30,000. I bit high considering it is just a plain ole L28. Even back in Japan were prices for these are higher that is still too much in my opinion. (3 times the price)
  22. Brian, What is the final outcome? Saw another 71 kgc10 on ebay and got me thinking about your sale again...
  23. Unfortunately I do not have access to a pressure guage. Fluid level is correct. I am going to remove the transmission this afternoon and take a look at the 1st/reverse clutch pack behind the oil pump.
  24. Ok, So possible oil pump is not feeding thru correctly. Or does that sound stupid...
  25. Tiresdelivered.com.....Thanks I will check them out in the morning...
