    you will be ok i drove my 81ZXT from Wichita to calgary and back 3600 mile round trip,that was a few years ago though. The Z cars love the Road my old 72 I drove it back and forth to San diego at 4 least times.

    I have owned a few of each of the Z series 71-83 anyway.. the Zx seems to be more stable at 100 MPH than the Z is this just because of weight and aerodynamics ? or is the ZX just a better car at those speeds?

    Wow that is cool ! It also a good way to protect the intercooler from rocks and other debris from the road.

    The T5 from a mustang of the same year or newer should work 85-92 ? is the engine from a Mustang ?

    extra fusible links, fuses, good cell phone maybe even AAA card. i would run a 5 speed for sure if you have one. EDIT you have a AAA package. I would run the FI it would be easier on gas and less problems with elevation and Humidity posssible vapor lock issues.

    Very true i always thought the S130 rode a lot better, but it just lacked the acceleration as my 76. I wish that they did make more stuff for the ZX...I think in time they will come around !
