  1. 150 shot to spool turbo. Turns off at 25psi. Currently running 27psi. Next test and tune will see what 150 Shot all the way down the track does.
  2. New best in the Orange Z. New gear set in the powerglide knocked 60 foots down to 1.33.
  3. I like the way it looks ;> BTW here is the video of the tranny failing. MPH was way off considering trap RPM lots of slippage. you can really hear the rpm fluctuations. i was thinking it was a boost and or nitrous issue.
  4. NO I have not flowed it yet. haven't had a real good run yet because of the tranny issues. will do that over the winter if I get motivated ;> But up to now I haven't noticed anything different. But keep in mind my old manifold was a stock manifold that had the endtank cut off and a new one welded on. the runners were the same length as the one I have now. This intake was originally designed as a bolt in replacement for a stock manifold with ITBs.
  5. Well only got in one pass in Saturday and we ate a tranny. The stator on the pump broke free resulting in a loss of pressure and burning up the clutches and band. Already have a replacement glide till I can get mine rebuilt. so shooting to be out friday night for teh midnight drags where i will attempt to get into the RMR quick 15. for those that might not know too much about a glide. The shaft thats sitting next the pump is a stator and not supposed to spin and or come out of the pump ;>
  6. Here is my best pass from Friday night. I had an issue were I could only boost to 25 psi. Today I found my blow off is leaking from the push lock fitting I installed when I did the intake install. It was leaking pretty bad from the top of a blow off so my guess is it didn't have enough pressure to hold it shot under boost and it was cracking open. That is fixed now everything's going back together hope to be out at the track again next Friday or Saturday.
  7. if you look me up on Facebook, clint stoneham I have all of my videos from last night posted. I had a couple of issues I could only boost to 25 psi.
  8. Nothing is more satisfying then tearing an engine apart fixing it and having it start the first time. She is all back together. Hope to get some good seat time in on friday.
  9. Only have to tap for brake booster and IAT sensor and weld on throttle cable bracket and its done again ;> I actually really like the way this manifold looks over the last one. If you search rb26 intake manifold and sort by cheapest. the first 3 or 4 that come up are the one i got. US in stock is what is in all the pics. there is one right now for 165.00
  10. DONE!!! not bad for a 160 dollar manifold. Just needs to have the welds sanded smooth and polished and it will look pretty good.
  11. kids what the heck are you talking about? But yeah I know what you're saying I use it to spool the turbo messed up a setting in the AeM and it fired too soon. 150 shot with no intake velocity is not good. By the way if anybody ever needs injector seals for an RB 26 the part number is 274 531. It's a Borg Warner cross-reference part from a Toyota engine
  12. Intake destroyed, injector o-rings disintegrated, hood pretty much in need of major fiber glass work. Current state ... hood replaced with turbo hood, new manifold being molded to fit my setup, need to stop by auto zone and pickup new o rings and we are ready for the track Friday night.
  13. Well i rolled the dice and ordered a freedy manifold. it actually got here in less then a week. and it fits. i had to make a couple adjustments because i'm not running ITB and the fuel rail didn't clear some of the nubs. I have cut off all the throttle linkage mounts and am in the process of sanding those down smooth. once that's done i will need to cut and weld in at a different angle the TB mount. the freedy point too far down. I imagine if your using the stock rb26 manifold this freedy one will work just fine. after its all welded up im going to flow check it to see where its at.
  14. BOOOOO!!!!!!!! first attempt with a 150 shot on till 20psi. i fat fingered a setting and instead of 3000 rpm the nitous rpm setting was set to 0. so as soon as i floored it it fired and BOOOOMMMMM. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/stony7/media/20140530_164652_zpse5718c15.mp4.html?sort=3&o=14
  15. Guess I should have been more specific. Rb26 single TB intake. Thanks for the offer but can't use a stock rb26 intake.at any rate I have one on the way now so disreguard.
  16. Had a NOS backfire at the track and destroyed mine. good thing is it was made with 1/8 sheet and blew apart without hurting anything else. Anyone have any good luck with the chinese stuff on ebay? Anyone have a single TB intake laying around they want to sell?
  17. Well After 15 years i can say its done. It is 100% NHRA legal to 8.50s. only thing left is wiring lights to be street legal . think Im gonna do that over the next winter. BTW the list of go faster parts is already growing ;>
  18. It says Hanns is ok but this really sucks!!! http://blogs.hotrod.com/winners-and-spinners-at-pomona-nmca-west-114861.html#axzz32HsHIj4Z
  19. Yea the 150 shot at 100% throttle till 15 PSI make a huge difference. But the twin you have and the flex plate, converter filled with fluid is not much difference. Another thing is the stall on the converter. The stall on it right now is about 6500. This is the equivalent of slipping the clutch on a manual. It does not fully lock up till its above 7000 rpm but puts enough load on it to build boost. Oh yea did i mention nitrous. ;>
  20. Had a good afternoon at the track. i finished my licensing passes with a 9.49@143 and a 9.52 @ 146 60 foot 1.42 330 3.9 1/8 6.08 MPH 114.98 1000 ft 7.932 1/4 9.49 MPH 143.9 2nd pass 60 ft 1.5 330 4.097 1/8 6.180 MPH 117.77 1/4 9.527 MPH 146.10 Only broke a hose for the boost controller can ran flawless and launched straight as an arrow.
  21. Cool, I have just never seen that kind of HP from an rb that low in the RPM range. That's awesome. Sounds like there is allot left in it.
  22. Really? What kind of setup you running?
  23. If you don't mind me askung. 300 what at 3000 rpm?
  24. fresh off the scales!!!! 2577 with me in it. before LF 713 RF 708 LR 624 RR 532 This explains the traction issues After LF 751 RF 671 LR 577 RR 574 its raining right now so i may not make it out to the track but if the weather holds might be able to see if it makes a difference.
  25. Welcome back.... I finished my project ;>
