  1. hey i pirated those off of yahoo japan and i cant read japanese :> the auction ends in 2 days and those pics will go away So they may not be gtr hubs but they had r32 gtr in the title. there was also s-13 and s-14 in the title. I just needed something to visualize how those things were going together. As far as GTR hubs and axles go i do believe those are very strong and there are sub 10 sec GTRs running the stock rearend with no problems. MATT (cheftrd) can confirm or correct that.

  4. DO you have the motor together to put these mounts in and take some measurements? I have my rb26 with a t-88 34D and the turbo hits the strut pillar pretty hard. Its almost deadcenter of the pillar also. IM using there GM auto adapter and if it puts the motor far enough back the motor mounts may be better then hacking and notching the strut pillar to squeeze the turbo in there. I was going to just tilt the motor up alittle but since the auto pan is flat now i really cant do that. Let me know thanks Stony OH yea what isolaters are you gonna use (or are required) with those mounts?

Just to be clear here the gtr and z32 have a cv axle type hub where the part that goes thru the strut housing is part of the axle. not like the s30 and z31 where there is a separate peice (stub shaft) that goes thru the strut housing and then bolts to a axle. another words the gtr and z32 didnt have stub axles. Jamie that looks kick *** you almost wanna make me go get another shell and put the backhalve on hold (like it isnt allready) and go the route your going. But if i were to go that route i think i would have to get either the gtr rearend or a r230 and go with that. If im not mistaken the r230 is as beefy maybe even beefier then the ford 9 inch well after a quick conversion 230 (R-230)millimeters is equal to 9.06 inches. which is alittle bigger then the 9 inch, any inputs on the strength of the r230? If you could get 33 spline axles or bigger that should be a really stout rear end!!!!! and still maintain the IRS.

  8. i fit z 31 stubs in a s30 strut unfortunatley the outboard side of the stub is the same size as the s30 stub and is where they break. the solution is to fit a z32 axle. If this is completed, will greatly increase the strength of the rearend. and could be a good moneymaker if done right. Somehow take the S30 strut housing and mate it up to something that houses the z32 axles and bearing. then make custom length axles and BAMMM your done. I did that with the z31 stubs i wish i had done it with the Z32 stuff. Basically i machined the housing to accept the Z31 bearings instead of the S30 bearing. the same or something similar should be able to be done with the z32 stuff.
  9. Engine 3500-5000 depending on where you get it and who has one available Tranny- 500-1500 again same as above. Intercooler 500 Intercooler piping 200-500 for someone to fab if you can’t do it. clutch 500-1500 depending on what you get. custom length Drive shaft if you don’t get the stuff that bolts in 300. exhaust for twin turbo. Stock down pipe from gtr will not work. 700-1500 depending on if you know someone or can do this on your own. fuel pump upgrade. 3-600 depending on if you just install a low end FI pump or go all out with tank pickup mods and run -8 braided line to the motor. I used the -6 stock line. but will be upgrading to -8 once back halve is done. chassis need to do something with the brakes. 500-4000 depending on what you want. need to put some sort or roll bar or cage as even a stock rb26 will start to twist the Z unibody. that’s just the big stuff. There is alot more little nickel and dime things that im not gonna spell out here. this swap cannot be done for less then 8K. If I had to do it all over again and I was in the states when I do it id go with something else. I loved the rb26 and will not change it in the near future but again i was in Japan when i did mine and got my motor and tranny and alot of the other required stuff for a fraction of what it costs in the US. and i also had a vast knowledge base in japan.
  10. BTW the 3.90s with 275x50x15s put me across the line at just about redline in 3 rd gear where the 4.88s got me into 5th gear!!!! I would guess 370s would be even worse. the stock ratios in the rear for the skyline GTSt where 4.363 so some where close to there would prabably be best.
  11. Higher gears will be nice. I had a 3.90 in mine originally and went to a 4.88 That just magnified the breakage issues in teh rear with the twin plate clutch. Jamie you are in a part of teh market knowone else is in. if you could successfully make a strut that could house the z32dett axles or maybe gtr axles ( i believe they are the same) you could make some money. I wanted to try but i was at the point where i was going to have to redo my entire rearend and wanted to be for sure it was going to be indestructable. BTW your lean rich knob is on the way today... SOrry took so long.
  12. already did. I was thinking about going that route but decided to do the back halve. . I didn’t have the time or shop to build what your doing. but I did think about it. I wanted to put the GTr axles in there. But after that the r-200 would become the weak link with 600+ RWHP and traction of MT et streets. So I decided to dive in head first and go with a full race setup that will not break for a while. the setup I'm putting in mine is being run by allot of the stang guys putting down 1500+ RWHP and running in the 8s with no issues
  13. both are a pain to drive in traffic. the triple is stronger but both will hold the power your gonna have . You will need to do something with the rearend as you will be in the same boat as me. the on off of those clutches will shread stubs and axles.
  14. im pretty sure that the rb26 will bolt up to the gtst tranny and drop right in if you have the tranny mount from the rb20 z31 but im not sure.
  15. Z31 rb20 engine mounts that came in the ZR200 in japan. Do a search for zr200 and you should get all the info you need
  16. sounds like there is some interest but just so know one misunderstands. i will be there for a 2 week period of which i have no idea what days i will have available to mess around with. just dont want it to sound like im organizing a meet or something... BUT that would be cool if we could do something like that i just cant do the organizing as i will be a busy MO FO most of the time.

  22. the old one is a blitz gtr intercooler that was slightly modded to fit an r31 skyline. and cost around 1800!!!!!!! the blitz stamp in the top of the intercooler must be REALLY hard to do :>
