  1. the bolt pattern will be a standard 5 on 4.5 to match the wheels i allready have. The rearend was one the fabricator supplied .... not sure what year car it came out of.
  2. Mike you have alot more stock sheetmetal left then mine will.
  3. yep still running the RB. the new motor is a full tuned rb motor that will eventually put approximatly 700rwhp to the ground. And jamie this was started way before you buying the motor. the selling of my old rearend is what got this started :>
  4. the below pics are the moc up of where the wheels will be sitting. they currently have BFG DR but will have 31 inch MT'S so if you can picture the bigger diameter tire thats how it will look. needless to say it gonna sit pretty low.
  5. i wnet 8.8 because it could be made way stronger then i would need and it would allow for the 4 link install and allow myself to fit comfortably in teh seat. (6 foot) the nine inch having the bigger housing would not have allowed the seat to go back as far (or so im told) BTW it more efficient and lighter then the Nine inch
  6. finally some movement on my chassis and rearend Here are the pics. the cage is still not much to look at but atleast its being put together now. the rearend looks good. shouldn't have any problems with breakage with this one :> the cage and backhalve is going to be all round tube chromoly and the rearend is the strongest 8.8 you can put together.
  7. oh ok i got ya.... yea just go pick the setup out of a junked Z. grab everything except the stuff welded in the car. the bracket should allready be there for the clutch and brake pedal on an auto car.
  8. you use all your stock stuff pedals and all. the slave and slave hose from the r33 gtst 5 speed will work, you just need to swap it out with the stock Z one. you may want to get a new clutch slave or atleast rebuild you stock one. that was the first thing to go on mine when i put the stronger clutch in.
  9. Im using an adapter from austrailia. it was half the price of the adapters in the states. ordered it from the castlemine rod shop. They have adapter for just about anything you can think of.
  10. S20 = GTR modle = big $$$$$$$$$ teh s20 has a cross flow head with tripple carbs stock. the engine is worth its weight in gold and if it is actually installed in the car it is supposed to be in the car can fetch 40K + if in good shape in japan. If it has an s20 i would not swap a l28 or rb26!!!!!! keep it as an investment or sell it and build 2 rb26 zcars :>
  11. Sterring crank not an issue. its the sterring rack and engine frame member that is the problem. the oil pan sump would hit it in the front sump configuration. There should not be any problems with going to a rear sump as long as the pan and pickup that are fabricated are done right. many others in japan have done this same type of mode for other swaps and not had any issues.
  12. i bid a million again. if he has truly made a mistake he needs to cancel the auction till he gets his own picture. otherwise he will owe ebay 6% of a million dollars :
  13. if anyone wants to have fun i bid it to 1,000,000 :>
  14. Hmmmmm the link dosnt work its item number 4521629095

  16. cool Jamie you got everything ok? let me know if you have any questions
  17. It was the tranny i got out of the car i got my motor from.
  18. welcome, Your stuff will be on the way by the end of next week.
  19. Ok if you have an rb25 and this is what your going to install all you need is are the motor mounts, oil pan and oil pickup from the rb20 z31 out of japan. this will allow you to drop the motor in and start on mounting the tranny. You will need access to the japan nissan parts market if you dont have this i would go the custom route. If you want the motor to sit in its optimal position ... as low and as far back as possible...custom mounts are what you need. everything else above will still work. the oil pan will sit about 1 onch below the A Frame, and will be the first thing to hit if you bottom out.
  20. can we get this moved to the new rb section :>
  21. http://classifieds.hybridz.org/showproduct.php?product=206
  22. TRhanks for the plug that would explain why all of the sudden the bandwith was exceeded :> I have a yahoo group called RB26DETT. If you are in teh process of doing the swap go ahead and join.
