  1. You should post those on zeroyon. may impress some of the non believers
  2. I like mine better good runs BTW
  3. the late model 260 is the same as the 280 and the early 260 is the same as the 240
  4. Hanns our cars will almost look identicle when my is done with the exception mine will keep the overfenders and fender mirrors. I can only hope it performs the same way. I to will be looking to get a comp license
  5. I think that would cure your clearance problems. there should be plenty of room up front for a huge turbo.
  6. It'S becasue of where the turbos sit. they sit low and towards the back of the motor
  7. Where did you hear that the handleing was negatively affected with the RB???? i had the ZR200 mounts and my car weighed out at 51 front and 49 rear and handled real well. i really didnt knowtice the difference between the old l28 and the rb except the tires spun alot more I amagine some custom mounts putting the motor as far back as possible you could reach the 50 50 wieght distribution easily. And BTW you will need a turbo, and intercooler upgrade to get the vg to the same power level as the rb26 with just injectors and turning the booste up. throw upgrade turbos on the RB26 and you have to go into the vg to get the same power the rb puts out with just a turbo upgrade. Just my 2 cents. The vg swap has been done by a couple on this board. they are both decent swaps and if your looking for a economy swap ( well you know what i mean) go with the VG as there are parts in junkyards and avaiable at your loca parts store. With the RB you need friends in japan willing to send you parts when you need them
  8. Jamie if you are talking about my engine it is an early r32 motor with the above mentioned flaw. the only time you need to worry about it is in the higher rpm hi hp RANGE WHICH I THINK YOU ARE HEADED. I dont believe you have to tear the entire motor down to fix this and since you allready have it with the oil pan removed its just a matter of puling the front covers off, oil pump and installing the Sleeve. not 100% sure on that but thats what i think.
  9. I'm down here for 3 weeks and was curious is there any type of drag racing or anykind of racing for that matter...any hybridz in the area.
  10. HEHEHE ok let me restate... no USAF F-4s had APUs
  11. We used a -60 Air cart for starting. and in the rare instance no cart was available, an explosive air cart was used. Sometimes for training purposes the carts would be used. But 9.9 times out of 10 the air cart was used. So to answer your question the F-4 had no APU of any sort on board for engine starting.
  12. Yep i believe you got eh valve covers cam cover, coils and clutch
  13. yes the compressor housing with my mounts sit right in the middle of the strut pillar. the wastegate pipe will need to be cut, shrotened, and refitted to clear the steering linkage.
  14. with the mounts i had on the old setup NO it did not fit.....the compressor housing hits pretty hard on the strut pillar. we are going to move the engine back and tilt it up alittle to cure that though. Or notch the pillar which ever is easier when the time come for the final moc up.
  15. BTW i know the pics suck!!!!! i am just now learning how to use my camera
  16. I cant rmeember who asked for these but here are the pics of the motor that will be going in the Z once its done. the valve covers are red now.
