  1. mike 2 words... import tuning!!!! it has expoded in japan and they are getting serious power from them.... i think the import thing in USA is just getting started. maybe contact HKS ect ect for some sponsorship. A shop on okinawa has a monthly dyno competition to see who has the most horsepower Its half price to enter (25) and the dyno goes all day. A guy in alaska has the only dyno in town and he charges 100 bucks a shot.... im thinking there would be more the 4 people that would pay 25 bucks to dyno before youd get one to pay 100. Just my opinion. I think 50 bucks for 3 runs then an hourly rate for tuning of say 75 would bring alot of business. If taking up a bay is a concern invest in the dyno you bury in the ground that you can put a grate over an the rollers come up when in use good luck. stony
  2. the gtr transfer case is computer controlled and can be completly disengaged or adjusted to only put 20% torqe to the front or 40 or whatever is good for you. This of course is an aftermaket controller. You can also remove the fuse for the awd system and walla rwd
  3. no new pics whats on my page is the latest. It has actually gone backwards... sold the watts will be getting a set of 15 or 16 X 9 centerlines autodrags to match the ones i bought off ron. i have a set of 680 cc inj that i need cleaned and flow checked before install. and i still need to do my cage. right now im in the desert (saudi) serving the country if i dont get to the track this summer next for sure will be in the 10s =
  4. you know thats funny thats about the norm in japan as far as 2jz and rb motors go. Its almost surprising any more not to see a huge turbo and braided line under the hood of any car at the street races. my friend is telling me he has to really launch his 700hp+ gtr to keep up with all the other Rs, silvias (sr20) and FC3S, and FD3S running around
  5. i think you mean 300zr right? im not sure about the tranny mounts but if they are the same it should bolt up. worst case all you would have to do is get the engine member from teh zr and your set.... why go rb25. if you can get 2.5 2.6 should be available to id go that route
  6. well heres how i look at it...... what ever gets you going the fastest for the least amount of money is the way to go. and heres the scoop i bought my entire drivetrain for 3500.00 and for under 5K i have a Z that is capable of running 10 sec 1/4 miles (with alittle more tuning) it is street legal and the best thing is my current setup is bone stock so it is very reliable daily driver. which is what i was shooting for. i will be upgrading injectors and turbos eventually which should get it into the mid to low 10s and it will still be a stock long block. I plan on going back to japan in 2-3 years and retire ( im 32) there and work a civilian job of some sort on one of the bases on okinawa. long story short . If this wasnt my plan i would not have started the rbZ project i would have gone the route scottie is going with his z or maybe turbo V-8. it all comes down to i like going fast for the least amount of money i dont care what motor it is in what car... i like the z car and i love the L engine sound but it is way too expensive to make a 10 sec L engine car. I could have built 3 rbz with the money it would take to build one 450hp L 3.1 engine alone. now i ramblin so ill stop but what ever you like is the way to go No matter what i say or anyone else says youshould go with what you want or youll wish you had

  8. do a search for rb26 there are lots of post on the rb engine. .... i think for the cash though you can build a much faster v-8 but if you must go rb go rb26 its an ausome motor
  9. i surprised the owner let that slip must be a wanna be rotary owner ;>
  10. id be surprised to pay that much for one in japan also. but what is not available is expensive
  11. can someone email this to me at 363f15ctams10@psab.af.mil the firewall im under wont let me go there ;<

les i got the pic from z.car.com you might email him and find the info you want
  15. not to sound negative but i dont think a factory l block could handle that kind of power.. has to be a custom block , crank, rods ect ect
  16. go to fullboost dot come and search for horsepower hero lots of info on the car ....it has a outrageous fuel system. oh by teh way im in saudi arabia
  17. when you say wastegates up to the tasks are you saying they need to be big enough to keep boost from rising after nitros is flowing?
  18. I can say from experience dave is very trust worthy. i have his radiator, coilover kit, chromoly arms, The only thing i didnt like was the front arms require drilling of the engine member for bigger arm bolts. the TC rod also have no bushings so it makes for a loud and rough ride. I dont think there is any weight reduction in using his arms but they have to be stronger. and they look so racey. stony
  19. http://www.excite.co.jp/world/url/body?wb_url=http%3A%2F%2Fpage5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp%2Fjp%2Fauction%2Fe7882657&wb_lp=JAEN&wb_dis=2 if this works you should see yahoo japan auction for a rb26 reserve is 2500 US and it has a cusco clutch nismo turbines, 550 cc injectors, aftermarket outlet pipes!!!!! If you can convince him to ship to the US your in there ;> also need a japanese address ;<
  20. anyone know how much the z-31 300zx weighs?
  21. as long as the down pipe stays near the side of the block shouldnt be a problem... the rb26 turbos have no clearance problems what so ever. keep in mind though the downpipe will have to be custom made for the z, unless you get extremely lucky oooohhhh more icons ;>
