  2. well teh motor stock HP is around 300hp.. in teh gtr it ran teh 1/4 in about 12.5 sec i think. with the intercooler and sds programability im thinking im around 400 hp at teh flywheel. teh 444cc injectors are maxed and if you run the formula it equals right around 400 so im thinking 350 rwhp i did run it on teh street a couple times before i left japan and it rocks i was quite happy with it was alot more then i expected. i was playing with a 400+ hp 2nd gen rx-7 for about 2 years and this thing would have kicked it butt ;> as far as how fast it will go???? the gearing in is kinda screwy. i have a r-200 3.9 and teh tranny came out of a car that ran a 4.75. so put it this way ... no probem cruising the highway.. it is diffenetly a fun car... teh best part is the motor can easily achieve 600hp with only upgrading teh turbo and injectors ;> thanks stony

Im pretty sure i know what your problem is... look at your actuator and wastegate flap sounds like its sometimes sticking open causing you to kose booste and sometimes sticking closed causing it to creep. if youve checked all your connections and hookups and piping for leaks im thinking thats the only thing it could be

  5. well its pretty lame but its my first one.... couldnt get any pic uploaded so i just linked them all. i have a bunch of other stuff but spent alot of time doing this much. this web page stuff is a pain ;> finally got my water pump and timingbelt so hopefully by the end of the week ill be on the road again l8r stony
  6. Owen i too have a line lock.. great for heaten up teh tires;>>>> and i have mine installed pretty much idetically to how scottie says.... havent used it yet though... i would think its good to prevent roll on teh line when staging? stony

Hi Here's my 2 cents if you had a leak in your piping you'd have problems building boost....check your hookups and hoses make sure you don't have any cracks or splits in the hose.... make sure you have the controller hooked up correctly and not backwards... if its hooked up backwards will cause all kinds of problems. do you have an external wastegate? or is it a stock turbo you upgrade to to4e? your wastegate could be too small... just a few of the things you can look at stony

  12. this was an old post but couldnt resist to reply..... teh ceramic turbos are crap they are good for stock booste levels but anything that would make it worth while and the wheels shatter sending all that stuff into your engine......If i remember correctly the engine in teh cima is the same engine that is in the same year 300zx
  13. cool i thought i was bad.... my original plan was paint and a set of wheels.... now the only thing that is the same since i bought it is the body... rb-26 engine r33 drivetrain coilovers camber plates tubular lower control arms SDS ect ect its a nice ride but i blew teh hell out of teh budget....

  15. tell me if this sounds right ... there is 2 wires from speedo and 2 from teh sending unit.... (excluding all teh lights and power hookups...) i would ground one from teh sending unit and the one from the speedo and thats how they hookup?
  16. if you take the dash out....(not Hard) you fab a small bracket to the metal part of teh dash .. thats what i diid works great.

As some of you know im running the rb-26 dett with the skyline GTS-T r-33 5 spd mission. the sending unit on this mission is electrical. and obviously the z speedo is not. how can i tell if i can use the Autometer electrical speedo with this sending unit? or am i stuck something like a GPS type speedo? ------------------
  18. even for japan i got a pretty good price normal i would say for everything motor 3500, mission 1500, diff 300 driveshaft 100 z-31 mounts (used) 50. that was the major stuff. the shipping your looking at 1000+ by sea. everything would have to be able to fit in a 1 meter square box or it would cost more. I do have a contact (S) but for small parts only. i think if your not in japan a well built v-8 would be cheaper for the 350-400 HP range just what i think

  21. got that one it is definetly cool. got one of a silver v-8z on teh 1/4 mile track and one of a white 240z on the auto x track.

  23. the motor bolts right it with the motor mounts from a rb-20 z-31 again only in japan. but these mounts made the install very easy
  24. Jason, i learned from experience. Ask teh owner to let you get it in teh air. then take a small pick hammer underneath and tap under the seat, framrails, and everything else you can get your hands on. if it sounds solid good if it pings, or you have metal flaking off, or the frame rails sound hallow, especially under the battery you may be in for some major cutting and welding. I thought my z was rust free. then 6000.00 later i had all new floor boards. If i could have done it over i would not have bought mine i would have kept shopping. just make sme mad that i could have put that money into the drivetrain if i had be patient and bought a rust free car. and on top of that i may not have gotten all teh rust... only timne will tell. just my 2 $ stony http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/stonehac?d&.intl=us&.flabel=fld3&.src=ph
