  1. Tilter is good, also if you have a 280 remove the front bumper for some extra room.
  2. I was at 28. New clutch, flywheel, and slave.
  3. My jaw kept droping every time a car was sold. What a huge waste of time and money. 1m for a Hemi Cuda. That was sad. I did not see Jay Leno there. I guess he get's the fixerupers (smart guy).
  4. Nope, just use the stock gasket (forget about the permatex). Just like Mike said, the gasket can be used over and over again. The copper collector gaskets are available from Jegs.
  5. Put some reference marks on the hood and hinge once you get it in place.
  6. I did mine this fall and used the real thin open cell foam. It worked just fine. Hey I've got a civic blower over here if you want it. Let me know, maybe we can meet for That Beer!
  7. That's too much for a 305 without all the accessories anyway. You could do better than that at the JY.
  8. I remember a while back that someone on here had a Haulmark trailer stolen. I ran across this on ebay and just though I'd put it out here just in case. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HAULMARK-24-ENCLOSED-CAR-TRAILER-CABINETS-IMCA-LS1-NR_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ80769QQitemZ4605472013QQrdZ1
  9. I saw some pictures the other day of someone that had 4 bathroom scales under a shell. I believe the total was around 530-560 lbs for a 280.
  10. Yea, that's the backup light switch. I beat the heck out of mine and it finally gave in to reason. I also had to clearance the drivers side top by the gear shift lever for the reverse lockout. It's tight but it has never made contact after numerous full throttle runs.
  11. Thats pretty nice. It looks like the steering shaft is in the way of the exhaust and the heater hose hookup looks a little tight. But those arent show stoppers. That would be a sweet ride.

    Master Cylinder

For me it was. The Tilton and Willwood cylinders are a real close match to the Datsun cylinder. All you have to do is widen the hole in the firewall a bit, and replace the Tilton plunger and boot with the old Datsun one. Real easy conversion and it looks stock.
  13. Rear Engine would be by throttle cable, front engine would be controlled by computer. You could use feedback from an rpm and wheel speed sensor.
  14. Wow, That Vette (or is it somthing else!) is awesome! I actually like the rear of it! And the front Too!
  15. Also the bolt pattern on the Holley is a 3 bolt. The FAST intake is a 5 bolt so it might not be compatable is you plan to upgrade.
  16. No, the tank sat for a long time and got some rust in it. I run through a screen pre filter, then the Fuel pump, then to a Large paper filter by the fuel rails. I would clean it out, but I'd rather just put the LS tank in and call it a day. I ran the Z for 6 months with the original engine in it and never plugged up the filter. As Soon as I hooked up the LS1 I started getting rust plugged filters. Maybe the violent burnouts shook some rust loose. Anyway, The gas is clean past the filter so I just check it from time to time and replace it when I see the fuel pressure go below 55.
  17. Personally I like the existing logo with the S30. Count me in no matter what also.
  18. Agreed, Contrasting dye should be run with an MRI of the brain.
  19. Yea, Ha ha. I have one on my back porch waiting to be installed This summer. I'm getting tired of changing my fuel filter every month. I'll try to copy your mounts Bart.
  20. My 78 280 does not have an inside release.
  21. Not to steal the thread, but NOPE, your Sig pic. I can read the label on the cutoff wheel! That's one fast shutter speed.
  22. FYI, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-LS1-Z28-CAMARO-FUEL-TANK-AND-PUMP_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33556QQitemZ8028476607QQrdZ1
  23. Man, we all gotta age. I'm into skipping every other birthday now. Have a good time!
