Careless hope you don't mind if I post in your thread, I have done something similar as you . I took the power window system from an early to mid 90's Camery and put it in my 280. the front door system was the correct length and almost the correct arc ast the 280, to get the correct arc you just have to "massage" it to match the datsun window tracks.
I had to modify the mount on the camery bracket to match the datsun window base frame, and build a bracket to space the bottom correctly,
getting everything to move smoothly without binding will take some time.
Heres the camery window mechanism.
Compared to the stock mechanism
Stock Weight
Vs camery track and motor
Installed in the door
Wish I had took more pictures while installing it but once I started working on it I forgot to take pics.
heres a movie I took on my still camera.
1978 280Z , bought it, drove it home 40 miles, (almost died from exhaust fumes) striped it , cut it apart , welded back together, flying on the rotisserie now, hope to have it in epoxy primer soon......
Found this on the LT1 Fiero site http://www.fierolt1.com/faq.htm, Have no idea if its what you are experiencing just thought I'd throw it out here.
Why does my car have a slight stumble upon slow acceleration?
If it usually occurs from idle when then engine is warm and you get a short backfiring just before shifts, then it's probably the coil wire or the coil itself. If you notice the headlights flicker or flash at night when the car stumbles, it's almost assured the coil and/or coil wire need replacement.
Thats awsome, I just started to look at microprocessors myself, what chip you using? There are a ton of things they could be used for.
cant wait to see what you come up with , kewl project !
