I asked the same question myself ,I was informed that it was not nessary too. I myself did not split them apart, ( the rebuild kit does not have any o-ring for the inside ports of the split section) and they seem to be fine I'll not know for sure till I try them out tho, 2003Z & Cruez are Pro's so I'd listen to thier advise. I did totally rebuild the calipers after coating, and assembling the rear calipers would make the Pope curse

While waiting for my new strut inserts and wheel adapters I decided to powdercoat and rebuild my calipers. Practiced on my Z's original calipers, was pleased . Heres the before picture of the s12w's and the 240sx rears. And the after coating and rebuild..........

Unfortunately I don't have camber plates, I was able to return my adapters and exchange them for 1" adapters, should be here by next weekend I hope. -
R200 (280-300Z) fits both 10mm and 12mm ring gear bolts 44.309.150 1,495.00 $1500 ouch

Lawrenceburg has a racetrack mostly dirt/sprint car races, ( no dragstrip anymore) Of course we have the Casino boats here now , all the Buckeyes come over to leave there mula here. Small world deja..... -

Technically I live in Indiana (right over the boarder) But I work in Springdale (north side of Cincy) so I tell everyone I'm from Cincinnati cause they have no Idea where Lawrenceburg is.
