    Cherry Bomb

You do know though that they shrink the diameter inside of the cherry bomb, so now your bottle neck is at that cherry bomb muffler. If you wanted something to quiet it a bit you should go with a bullet type muffler from magnaflow or the like.
  2. HAH Im lusting for it now and it isnt even finished!! I cant wait till its done. Go figure though it had to be made properly by a Z nut to be right. Shame of it all a Company with all its money and big name couldnt out do the ingenuity(sp?) of a Hybridz owner. Tsk Tsk
  3. Well with keeping your foot out of the gas now if you have a tuneable standalone. As I am no familiar with the ECU you speak of I cant say, but if its tuneable I would think there would be no change during everyday driving, until of cours you put your foot into. That said I would think the stock driveability should still be there along with the mileage.
  4. Just a short one still messing with windows movie maker and doing a few things but its just a short run up to 80 mph. I just love this. I hope you enjoy. http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=5720&cat=509
  5. Yes it is Darius' new upgrades to his Z. The only thing I don get is why they mounted that BOV the way they did, it could have been easily put side ways. Thats going to pop right through the hood>
  6. You know you cant ever complain about a running car for 140 dollars, good deal!
  7. That really does look great, not to mention a hell of a lot better then that erm "OTHER" place that was making the manifolds a while back
  8. Only one company that I know of that makes a 225-55-15 and that is Michelin, and they are abotu 160 each, IIRC. Here is a link to one of the online shops that sell them http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&tireModel=Pilot+HX+MXM&partnum=255VR5MXMHX&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes&place=0
  9. I was looking and thinking the same thing, lagging SR turbo its T25 for gods sake, and your not going to go bigger with less lag, its just not going to happen. You could possibly have the same responce as you have now though, but in the turbo world, usually bigger and less lag is a total oxymoron. It think for now your money would be best spent on a EBC and some time on the dyno, then dropping a larger turbo into the car.
  10. I couldnt agree with that part more, well said!
  11. There was also one that was for sale and it was also on ebay once or twice. http://classifieds.hybridz.org/showproduct.php?product=385&sort=2&cat=8&page=1
  12. Hey dont put those diesel trucks down, Ive seen full size king cab diesels run 13 flat at the track and embarass quite a few Mustang, Subie and other car owners thinking it was an easy win. I still get comments on my car and I think it looks like hell, even though the paint still shines well and all and I do take care of her, to me she needs loads of work still. Thing that gets me though is why do people always think its a Porsche? I cant see the resemblence at all.
  13. For apparently following his orders. Heres the story: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10788476/#storyContinued
  14. I thought the same thing even with the new Mustangs, its about like that, though I couldnt say it would be the same with the Cobra.
  15. Well the Lightning I believe in its last incarnation used the 5.4 supercharged version, and if that thing can propel that tank of a truck to low 11 sec quarter mile times then I think it would be a hell of a motor for the Z.
  16. ROFL, what are you going to do with 74 Pontiac Lemons? I guess like spot said, make lemonade lol
  17. Yeah I like Majestic, the only thing with them is, when you want to do a turbo your way, they always seem to want to talk you into what THEY want to do, its the only thing that I didnt like about them.

    Dyno Fun

You know actually that flat black Rustoleum bbq paint works EXTREMELY well, Ive seen it used on stock manifolds and as long as you apply it properly it lasts a long time. Oh and on the CF dual slipping clutch, as soon as I went from my stock T3, to my new turbo, the clutch started to slip straight away. They just arent that great at all and what I dont understand is, they advertise 90% over stock or words to that effect. Now to me that would say that it should hold at least another hundred hp. Yet it doesnt.
  19. Its no worrie, I have 200k on mine, and it is a turbo motor, only thing ever really done to it was to have the head and block trued for the HKS metal HG and it still has 150 across the board.
  20. I think you need to change a line in your for sale line, 5-spd & 3.54 diff from '81 ZXT
  21. In answer to this question, "Does anybody ever tell you that YOU might be on the wrong forum when you post on classiczcars.com? I certainly hope not." I think and I can actually go and get post from classizcars.com, where if you dont own a Z or let me correct myself here. If you do not own at least a 69-78 Z then you will be chastised, if you dare mention doing something different, ie, SR20SDET swap or the like you will be turned away, or god forbid a V-8 swap. There are a lot of individuals at classiczcars.com that make you feel unwanted because you want to go with something besided the inline six that came with the car. Now that isnt to say that they arent fast and cannot be made to work wonders on the raod and on the track. Hell even one of our members here has the fastest track time I believe or at least it was in his 240Z (John Coffey). So to say that classiczcars.com is welcoming to other ideas or that they would say yeah thats a good route with anything other then the Nissan engine is a farce because most will say no. Just an opinion.
  22. Hmm, I would say about 10K, but then again there was a very clean arizona car, he tried 10k didnt sell, had many extras as well, he finally dropped it to 7k and thats what it sold for. That being said you can buy a clean 240Z shell fro about 2k, easily, Vildinia Motorsports will do the swap, all mounts with motor transmission and eletrical, including aftermarket stand alone, tuning, 3 inch exhaust, upgraded fuel pump, ic and plumbing, basically swap and drive away for I think the quote was about 7800. So right there you are at 9800. So you can go from there as to what you would get for your car. Ive seen several clean running Z's in southern califronia for about 1800-2600 plust the 7500-7800 for the swap and out the door driving. Take it from there. You could get one done yoursefl for about 10k, and if you have a Z already its going to cost no more the 8k. Looking at your car though and how VERY clean it is and with other modifications, I would say you could pull in the 10-12k range if you were to have it up and running.
  23. The air dam looks fantastic, I agree how much longer till you get all this done, excellent work indeed.
