  1. probably right about the direct ignition. How about twin T3-T4hybrid turbos. T3's are kinda small, plus that the same size as the stock 280zx turbo whoop-de-do (I'm not cliche)(power while meing unique is a rule). WHy wouldn't the aluminum controls arms be good (yes aluminum is soft but its used on newer cars and is drastically lighter I think)(the stock steel control arms weigh a ton!) and to think originally (like 4 months ago) i was thinking twin T66 turbos. what about a large turbo (high RPM power) and a small turbo (low RPM power) simlar to what is done on Supras?
  2. I swear that I will never be able to let go of this car? Many times I have had the opportunity to but there is too much of a personal connection to the car. My sister often tells girls that ask if I have a girlfriend, that I don't exept for my car. The car to me is priceless. The mods only enhance its beauty, price is just a hurdle in the way of perfection. Complicated people like be like complicated stuff. Thus the complex crazy future fits perfect. If the 4-6years off college pay off. I should have a good salary being either an Automotive Engineer or Automotive Designer. Either one would lend a good hand in making my dreams a reality. Automotive Engineers alone from what I've heard make $150,000 easily in a year. I dunno about designers though, but look at Chip Foose he makes some serious bank and he designs cars for a living. Value is not of importance cause its priceless to me who cares what others think, what they will see will make there mouths drop and whatnot, kinda like seeing a ferrari or a lamborghini but a little better. Not to mention the power that will be made will hopefully blow those high-end cars away up to maybe 120ish. Speed is excilarating in a line, but in a turn sliding its pure enjoyment, being in your own car just makes it even better too. In the words of Aerosmith (I shall and will always) DREAM ON
  3. I'LL POST SOME PICS OF MY OTHER DESIGN ONCE I TAKE PICTURES OF THEM. BATTERIES DIED IN MY DIGITAL CAMERA AGAIN. IT SUCKS UP JUICE LIKE ITS GOING OUT OF STYLE OR SOMETHING. BELIEVE BE THE OTHER DESIGN IS TEN TIMES BETTER. FOLLOWS THE ORIGINAL LINES BETTER.
  4. I don't think so. Let me know if you find one! Those are crap. Go with NGKs or something comparable. ...and your right, that will be a huge project: be prepared to spend a lot of $$$. Aluminum axles=CUSTOM MADE cast aluminum L28 block bored to 3.1L=CUSTOM MADE THANKS FOR THE SPARK PLUG INFO. I DIDN'T KNOW NGK MADE SPARK PLUGS. ONE THINGS FOR SURE THE PROJECT WILL MORE THAN QUINTUPLE THE VALUE OF THE CAR. i'M SURE IT'S AT LEAST $50,000 IN MODS BUT ITS WORTH IT TO HAVE A ONE OF A KIND 280ZX.
  5. All right here is one design. I've gotta another one I need to take a pic of cause I took it work. and the views and just for heck of it here's my Z THE Front THE Back THE Side It's my baby. Gotta get the hood painted. Should I just get the whole car painted? The paint is oxidized big time and is starting too flake off.
  6. OR I could just make it sit higher and squish water bottles between the seat and the console like I do now!
  7. I always thought a cool undercar treatment woulf be diamond plate steel. it looks awesome and is stainless. As far as roving the other stuff goes carb cleaner or brake cleaner my work good.
  8. that would be pretty cool. RHD, people would definently get confused.
  9. that would be pretty cool. RHD, people would definently get confused.
  10. that's looks really good for rattle can. You must have a steady hand because I don't see and paint streaks.

  12. this is off subject but KillerKlownRodz how did you post a pic like that? also tha idea for the fender is quite neat it could help in the future with accomadating 17" rims while keeping the car only 3-4" off the ground. Good thinking
  13. you mean like cardomain.com? so i have to make site then post the link. Can't you just paste a pic somehow like some of these other guys do. How'd they do that?
  14. Well the big brakes will have to wait. My parents won't let me put $700 worth of brakes on my car. They said all I can do is perforance brake pads, new OEM calipers in the front and stainless brakes lines all around. Darned it. This is gonna be a big project car after college at this rate. My parents flip out when I want to put money into my car. I'll probably end up thanking them someday but not now. I want an awesome car and they just want it to stay running. Opposite sides of the playing field. Well at least I know what I can do as far as brakes go once four years of school is out of the way, yeaaa, (not). I'm a youngin only 18.
  15. It looks very nice and I like what you've done. I went to the drift track yesterday and some serious drifting was layed down by some locals. How do you post pictures?
  16. Sir Daniel your 280zx 2+2 is awesome. Nice to know i not the only one sportin a big wing. I reccommend that you make some brackets for it though that way it sits on the car correctly. I've thought of a design similar to what you see on drift cars that would look awesome on 280zx's
  17. I HAVE A SET OF ORIGINAL 280zx TURBO WHEELS. dO YOU THINK THE BRAKES WILL FIT AND GET ENOUGH VENTILATION. SO IF THEY DO FIT HOW DOES THIS SOUND. 12" ROTOR 4 PISTON CALIPER KIT UP(JSK) FRONT AND HIGH PERFORMANCE BRAKE PADS WITH EITHER SLOTTED ROTORS OR OEM ROTORS, AND NEW OEM CALIPERS WITH STAINLESS BRAKE LINES.
  18. lookin good man. You've got some time on your hands. Are you retire or something or do you just have nothing better to do. Either way it's awesome that your doing it all yourself.
  19. Cascade makes som really cool stuff and it works better than dynomat. Saw it at SEMA here in Vegas. The guy put it on some large cimbals and geez afeter a hard whack almost no noise came out. I was impressed plus it seals and does a bunch of other things.
  20. okay dangit how do you post a pic. I'm a noob to this. But better late then never.
  21. Holland!Sweden! geez that's far. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the States.
  22. I'd like to do some sort of led/HID projector job with the clear cover. I could draw up a design and post if you like. I can think up stuff almost instantly. Doesn't cost much to draw stuff on paper .
