  1. do you have two pipes merging somewhere? (from the intake and the turbo inlet maybe, coming from the I/C) in two places possibly?
  2. uh SORRY DUDE BUT GT racing cars have nicer wheels than that. those are flat and boring. but thanks for posting the site you never no what your gonna see until you look.
  3. they've got a point. All these little things account for weight too includin tranny fluid, radiator fluid...etc. Why do you have a/c that doesn't even operate. Extra weight to pull if you don't use it.
  4. very nice radiator. I like to get one someday. I like your cold air induction. Home depot? I have a similar setup, rubber elbow like you and some drainage pipe. Works good but the chrome is very desirable.
  5. Does anyone know any other three piece manufacturers of the top of there head that are good with wheel styles similar to those pictured above. When I search theres like 300+ companies. Should I just look through them 1 by one?
  6. diddo, I can't see the pic either.
  7. I'll probably just replace the brake fluid with NISSAN brake fluid since I get it for free anyways. KVR pads?Never heardof them. Anyone know if the performance pads from MSA are worth the money (the semi-mettalic ones?)
  8. nice! Thank you for that valuable info, I've been wanting a good explanation to this question.
  9. gotcha, I'll start researching from now on, word of caution searches can be tedious at times. I guess I'll have to grow some patience for my mods and the research on them. Sorry about going off topic.
  10. thats all right it happens to best of us. We want to surf the forum faster than we can type.
  11. All righty then. I'll be buying reman- calipers for the front along with performance pads and stainless lines. Anyone here tried the MSA semi-metallic performance pads? Are they worth the money versus stock replacement pads? The stainless are definitely in for sure.
  12. I plan to go all the way, I didn't get straight A's in high to just throw away my intelligence in college. Bill Gates was a lucky dude what can I say, and a geek. His success is worth recreating (lotta money), the way he got to it, not so. I will do it the "right" way. NOthing is stopping me , not even money, I've got a mucho scholarship backing me. School doesn't end at high school, it simply introduces you to beginning of the final "step" of Instructed learning, college. This is proving ground number one on a small scale, If I can blow minds in high school whos to say I won't in college (maybe not english but science and math oh yeah). The grande scale is naturally the real world. The utmost in training (highest schooling) has to account for something right. Whether it be money, pride, or knowing that you are one of the best at what you do (learning and lovin it).
  13. that explains why people say that a turbo "cleans" up the exhuast tone a little. I've been wondering what they meant by that on a technical stand point, as far as the turbo serving an effect on the exhuast tone.
  14. I don't have much to say for my car, i just hope my ideas for the future will work out. I've though about becoming an Apprentice to my dad (for a short term period of time) but, something is holding me back and I'm not sure what. Maybe I'll feel like people wil think I'm stupid because I don't know how to put a car together : in the shadow of my high and mighter dad that shows every Nissan tech in town up basically (not intentionally but It's obvious when people have to ask for expert advise and he justs steps right into the job occasionally).
  15. I am merely stating possible ideas for my future project. Okay so if an Aluminum L6 isn't really the most logical way. Give me some ideas that would give me good power low weight (aluminum, something about this material makes it sophisticated, maybe because it's used on space equipment and top of the line state of the art cars). Now an even more radical idea that I don't has ever been done, is a Titanium engine. Here's the thing, I want my ZX, to be a ZX, with either ZX parts, or custom parts ,or after market performance accessories. You could say I'm all talk, and your right. I don't have any of the crazy mods I've listed (milled block, twin turbos, custom bodykits). They are simply ideas. This is tech talk isn't it, maybe a "little" dreamy but you gotta start somewhere or else you do have a foundation to build off. I'm in my brainstorming stage. Here's my plan (don't laugh, I'm serious about what I say). Okay I just graduated from high school (top of my class, not everyone gets a 4.2 overall GPA). I have been taking every class I can, to achieve my dream job. (3D-animation, top level Geometry, top level trig and pre-calc, top level drawing classes, architecture, top level physics you name it) and I got A's in every one of them. I've got the report cards to prove it.(i'll post pics if neccessary) I'm a geek I admit (but geeks make good money in the end right (i.e. Bill Gates). Anyways I've planned for 6years of college (2 at the local community college (basics) 2 at the local univ. (UNLV) get a degree in Mechanical Engineering , and minor in Industrial Design (i.e Automotive Design). And finally land a career either engineering for NISSAN or designing for them. Kinda all explains my chaotic dream machine Z eh. I've been involved with NISSAN in some shape or form since I was born no reason to quit on NISSAN now or later. (my dad has worked for NISSAN for 27years, been rated as one of the top 50 NISSAN Master techs in states twice it the past 3 years). I got the NISSAN craving from him. Give me ideas people and we will discuss them. I'm open minded but not openly acceptive (i.e. i let others ideas in but don't necessary approve them to my liking, but will indefinently try to reach a consensus with you). I like the wild ideas usually as you can see. One word of caution I don't want to build a muscle car, it must follow japanese style either old and new or just new (aka rice). Otherwise your free to give me better ideas. Enough yapping from me lets get some ideas cooking, I'm starvin!
  16. What are you referring to in this quote? I don't see a pic anywhere. Also do you (the fiberglass college kid) have any experience with urethane by chance. Or even know how that stuff (urethane bodykits and whatnot) are made. I'd like to someday have a custom bodykit made from urethane (all I know is it's light, rubber like (less crack prone),and stronger than fiberglass), based on the future design I've created.
  17. yeah I'm sure they will and at this rate I'll probably be taking this route. But what I'm trying to clarify is, are the Toyota Calipers only good on the Z's and NOT the ZX's? (another way of saying it is do those Calipers only work on the 240Z,260Z, and 280z?)
  18. I like how they painted the valve cover the same color as the car. Got any rear pics by chance?
  19. I think the second muffler your referring to is either a glasspack (resonator tube) or a catylitic converter.
  20. I keep talking about a milled L28 because its A) so so original B)lighter engine C) ALuminum cools down way faster, good for high-RPM drifting . 650HP is too much eh. What do you think would happen? I've seen vids of 700HP supras drifting, how fast they were going I dunno. Even with 12 inch (275-295) wide rear tires you think that'd be too much power?
  21. Nope dont live in Cali. Las Vegas Nevada dude. It's sad to say but with my dad being a Master Technician for Nissan, I to don't know how to put a car together. I can see how everything works in my head but not how to put it together. I to just look at stuff and scratch my head because I'm confused. If feel so useless and unworthy at times knowing that the best I can do for him is hold somethin in place or hold the flashlight. Kinda a wimpy feeling. I don't like to rely on other people to do things for me. But this I flat out can't do without hands on training. Taking apart is much easier for me.
  22. still you new more than me. I dunno about those wheels though he must have adapters. There nice but the deep dish look is better.
  23. Cool I love that sparkle much nicer than flat color, its hard to tell from a distance though if its there. At least I know now that I'll get the paint I want. The paint guy is gonna come in next tuesday and give me a quote. Hope for the best. I'd like new paint job. Thinking about if he does gives me a good qoute, that I'll cut the vents in lower portion of the hood like my design shows. After painting I'll attach silver mesh, of course this is only if I get a good quote.
  24. nope, I 've got a ricey wing on my Z. I've seen that wing before though and it is nice if you want a subtle look. I wanted a bold look, thus big wing.
