  1. I have a working turbo dizzy that needs a new cap and rotor if interested...
  2. What are your IATs? Are you experiencing any heatsinking with the radiator flush to the intercooler?
  3. Interesting you mention red coolant. It seems older (E30, etc) Bimmers had the same problem with the green coolant. My E30 had ridiculously corroded coolant passages with green stuff.
  4. Wow, this is GREAT information. I too would be interested in seeing the flow numbers. I have a sneaking suspicion that the FranKAnstein head is going to have better flow characteristics, but this is still an excellent starting platform that is a better alternative to those of us that don't have the machining prowess that Blake Machining does
  5. Picked up a cheapo racing-type seat from the JY for $12. That's right, $12. Near perfect fit in the Z.
  6. The have replacement ones on fleabay. Look for aftermarket ones for a 510. Also, check out E30 Bimmers.
  7. Every FelPro HG I've gotten over the past 5 years has looked like the top one...
  8. Actually, both are correct. If you look closely, the equation in the link Cygnus posted has RPM x CFM x VE x 0.5/3456. The initial equation has RPM x CFM/1728. If you factor out the 0.5 the equations are identical 3456/2 = 1728.
  9. Glad to see it up and running! Also thanks for the help you've been giving me so far for MS. I am DEFINITELY going to be taking you up on your offer!
  10. Glad to see it's still going strong!
  11. Due to a couple issues, still in need of this. Anyone??
  12. Sounds good! PM me a shipping quote and I'll PayPal you (my fedex.ca estimate was $16-17 for FedEx International Ground, sound right?)
  13. How much? Can you get me a shipping quote to 92071?
  14. Just need ONE of these! Let me know! Thanks, Jason
  15. I was able to source one locally. Thanks for your replies!
  16. Ya, because this build is for a hi-comp engine I NEED flattops. The one that bit the dust is broken and pretty gnarly, so I have no choice, unfortunately. But thanks!
  17. I need some parts for a strict budget build. Basically we pulled apart our L28 and found half of one rod in the oil pan. I need either of these two options: 1) L28 Crankshaft, 1 quantity L28 FLATTOP piston, and 1 quantity L28 connecting rod. If this is the option, I have only about $100 to spend including shipping (PM me with other offers) 2) Complete L28 (only below the head is needed, but complete is a plus) PLUS good working 4 or 5 speed with GOOD clutch/flywheel. I can go about $350 - $400 for this depending on what's included. This would obviously need to be pretty local to San Diego area for shipping cost reasons. Again, this is for a serious budget build, so any help you guys could do would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!
  18. Haha, lived here all my life and never made the connection! Thanks
  19. It's amazing how close he was to Uni (HS)
  20. how's this?: http://treasure.craigslist.org/cto/934884159.html
  21. Yeah, that was here in my town. The guy stole the tank from the armory behind my high school, drove through my friends' front yards (Navy housing), and drove onto the freeway right next to my house. I remember seeing the bashed Jersey-wall still being there for a couple months afterward...
