  1. The sending unit still has to pick up the fuel from the tank, unless you're running a sump. Optional mod would be larger feed and return lines on the tank
  2. Here's a rundown - Looks like a generic eBay T3 turbo with an internal wastegate turbine housing. The internal wastegate was wither not installed or removed. Gasket between turbine and downpipe is easy; eBay for generic 5-bolt T3. The "Blow off valve" you have is actually an external wastegate, and connects to the small pipe off the downpipe flange. Just replace the dinged pipe; maybe $35 at a good exhaust shop. I did a write-up on another site for people new to turbochargers; check it out: http://www.sdrev.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8533
  3. These are more like copies of Panasports; note the pointy bananas. And yes, the JWL is essentially a manufacturing standard, similar to a DOT stamp. (IIRC)
  4. A different, local forum I'd post a link but I don't want to break any HBZ rules. PM if interested
  5. No input on the adapter from me, but couldn't you just return to MSA? That's what we did when we got ours and they were the wrong gender; we were just out a few bucks shipping. The cost of the correct ones are nearly half the price, so a few bucks couldn't hurt. The part numbers for the Earls stuff we got is: 2x 592032 http://www.holley.com/592032ERL.asp 2x 63010110 http://www.holley.com/63010110ERL.asp This setup worked perfect for us.
  6. The MSA stainless is designed as a replacement for the rubber line. If you want a replacement for the hard lines you need to get a different style. I found that the Earl's one that is 10" is a perfect fit, if that's what you're looking for. I don't have the part number right now, but can post later if necessary.
  7. This thread makes me drool. EXCELLENT build!!
  8. The car would have to be PRISTINE for this colour to be pulled off. That being said, I like it. I wouldn't have it on my car, but I think it looks pretty good. And I see what you did there
  9. I agree, EFI will have a higher start up cost, especially because you will need all of the EFI-related paraphernalia to go with it; but ease of use and lower maintenance will be great factors later down the road. Plus it will be more efficient, better power potential, and still be as cool looking OT - How's the S13 doing? Missin ya over @ the 'Rev
  10. Also, that kit is for fuel injection. Ignore it completely.
  11. Could be an ignition switch issue. And yes, both "+" and "-" on the coil should be testing as "+" when hooked to the ground. The "+" and "-" are relative. When we were wiring up the race car we noticed that the wire for starting ignition power was separate from running ignition power. Testing the ignition switch is pretty easy with a multimeter. If all else fails, it's at least worth checking.
  12. Basically. Plus there are many, many MSQ files on this site that you can use as a starting point if you decide to do MS.
  13. Could be Ron Carter's. Did it have the correct magnesium American Racing wheels?
  14. I had some cloth Corbeaus several years back and they had some pretty dramatic sun fade. They were red at one time, then they turned pink
  15. I'm going to be posting a how-to on SDREv, and maybe on here as well
  16. I'll take you for a ride next time I bring it to NY
  17. I never thought of spraying between runs.. Good idea. But at that rate, why not carry around a fire extinguisher and use that? Then it's instantly removeable
  18. If you want a stock T3 I can get you one for $100 + ship...
  19. I can look from the 0 on the speedo to the 100 in much less than 5 seconds in my car...
  20. I was reading on a site that was basically debunking the HUGE gains you see with these. Granted it was on a Honda, but they were saying more gains were from the N2O making it to the intake than actually cooling. The tests also showed that marginal ingestion of CO2 greatly REDUCED performance (pretty obvious when you consider the science behind it). Let me find the link...
