  1. ya, been trying for a couple days. server must be down
  2. from what i've heard sanctioned racing bodies require the disconnect on the + side. that's all WOM, tho. anyway, i run it + disconnect; but i also have it in a box in the back. best option for preventing sheetmetal shorting is by using the rubber clamp surrounds.
  3. wow. that really bites. did you report the work to the BBB?
  4. "Forbidden You don't have permission to access /servlet/Images/photos4290/2/12/90/5/47/9/947059012209_0_BG.jpg on this server." can you host them somewhere else? imageshack? photobucket?
  5. blu-ray has a little over 60% of the market share since inception. basically, since an ever-increasing percentage of movie corporations are supporting blu-ray vs. HDDVD, it stands to reason that blu-ray will be the most supported. but i'm waiting it out.
  6. i remember when that happened! the guy stole that tank from the national guard armory right behind my high school. i knew that guy who owned the yellow 280z, too he was in the navy and had a couple other ones. he's since been reassigned. for you SD guys he was in the military housing on linda vista rd right by genesee ave
  7. you could check schnieder too; have a ~.500/~.300 regrind in my car. comes on around 4K
  8. where's veritech and olderthanme when you need them....
  9. my only thoughts are gas. although that sounds like a perfect candidate for a donor
  10. QFT (quoted for truth) as easy as it is to hate on hondas, they have their niche and are pretty quick with their little 4bangers
  11. to answe one of your qs, DO NOT TAKE OUT THE LINERS! waaay too crappy a port afterwards. for serious; it would require more welding than it would take to weld up a square port head to have a better quench area.
  12. looks NICE! maybe in the T/S section you could put some driving/fog lights?
  13. sure it's been covered before, but here goes: 1. fabricate a chain tensioner out of wood (chiltons has a good picture) or buy one from MSA 2. hammer the CT down between the chain 3. make sure that tensioner is tight! 4. see #3 (i cannot stress the importance of this!) 5. unbolt the cam gear 6. using a hammer and a small piece of 2x4, knock that cam gear off the cam 7. get the chain off the gear (make note of the dots) 8. remove head, careful not to knock the CT loose 9. clean surfaces and put new gasket 10. reassemble EDIT - pick up a chilton's or an FSM. pretty much mandatory if you're pulling your engine apart. search the forums for more in depth 411
  14. no, it's elec. here: http://www.california.com/~eagle/figs/vacpump/vac.html i got the heads up from a fellow member.
  15. how much do those stick up above the deck (if at all)? IMO the best head without doing work to it (aside from the closed chamber P90) is the N42. big valves, square port, decent flow.
