The trip from Utah to North Carolina starts tomorrow
BrandonsZ replied to Cruez's topic in Non Tech Board
But you brought the Golden Ghrames right? That's the only way you could have made it 30 hours. Life savers too right? Nice! -
"I'll just get it running, then swap the body with a perfect one someone else already did." It worked for me. Sure there's some rust, sure it's not perfect, the rear window defrost doesn't work, the door switches are busted, but somewhere, maybe even on this site, someone is doing a perfect restoration, and when I get into the next accident and roll my car, that drivetrane is going to fit nicely in someone's old project.

On the streets of Tokyo speed needs no translation
BrandonsZ replied to Trevor's topic in Non Tech Board
1991 Volvo N/A 240D .1 L bigger than the Datona Turbo engine. Excellent "All Wheel" drifter especially around turns, Ebrake not required. This is an advance drifting machine supercar, not for the faint of heart! $35,000 OBO. What do you think? I'm putting it in Atuotrader right when the movie comes out. It's honestly worth $1500-2000 but if those little anklebiters will pay $1000+ for a Diablo II sword a couple years back, maybe now they've moved on to bigger and better things. -
I hate it when mine does that. But my tires are only 185's right now.

Investor confidence is pretty low considering they didn't "upgrade" the levys. Any time a 3+ huricane hits it will flood again. If this happened anywhere else there would be little sign of distress by now I bet. When the fires hit So Cal in 2003, the only holdouts were those who got shammed by their insurance, or had improper coverage. I assume in this part of LA, insurance was more of a luxury? Would you move back if your neighbor's houses looked like that? This whoe thing got me thinking that if there was a natural desaster here I'd hed for the hills and not come back till everything was back to normal, I certainly wouldn't congregate at some shelter after hearing all those horror stories.

After seeing the movie he probably pulled the E-brake on his honda and all it would do is slow down around the curves. -
And easy to mount/cool.

Nice t56, close ratio, cool!

"The fast and the curious!" Come on, that would be such a fab new movie! OF course you know they'll put more violence than romance. Dang. -
I couldn't watch mast 1:20, IT's WAY TOO LONG to listed to the assclown even though you know it's a joke, it's just WAY TOO lame to even watch someone make fun of it. It sucked the smile off my face when I realized I was watching someo overact like the assclown riceboy that he was tying to make fun of. I couldn't tkae it!! I have bad memories of A-holes claiming that their exhaust tip added 10MPH on their top speed and that the decorative spoiler on the 1993 Jaguar S helped the car stay planted around turns at speeds as low as 50MPH. I HATED working with idiots SO MUCH!!! AND THEY WERE MAKING MORE THAN ME, so they used that to prove their point. ARRARAGGGGRGHHHHHFFFFFFFFTTHHTHTHPPPTTHTHT@@@!@!!@#SE

How many HybridZers does it take to change a light bulb?
BrandonsZ replied to auxilary's topic in Non Tech Board
I can't seem to find new light bulbs anywhere that replace the bulbs behind the panel on 1972 Z's that cover the fuse block. I only have one lofe (for the choke) and my choke is automatic!!! 1 threadstealer to redirect the thread and ask an unrelated question. anyone? -

Using this technology that creates "free energy from water" I just finished my time traveling invention, the Time Traveler, which did indeed need a LOT of energy to run. I tried yesterday, this morning, and told myself it would work. To Which my past self replied that he wanted to see the future, so he proposed we switch places and I would have to finish the machine agian myself, then I thought, Why shouldn't I keep his future for myself, It's mine, after all. My Own, my precious. So I sent him to 3400 B.C. and just before he left stole the device from him leaving him deviceless and stuck in the past. I wonder what he's doing about now? He was a jerk anyway, very adament that it was his invention while I could clearly see that it was mine and he hadn't finished his yet. Why shoudl I share the nobel prize with him anyway! So anyway I'm selling the device for only $5000 which is not too much to pay considering it not only created free energy from common drinking water, lets you travel back in time but only weighs 15 ozs and comes in a stylish black tote. For a limited time ony, you get the "Time Travler Buddy ". This adapter converts the readily available energy into pure freash drinking water which can be used to drink, water your favoirte African Violet, or to power the Time Traveler. Order now! Warning: Aftrican Violets are inherantly hard to care for and overwatering can lead to root rot or mold fly.

I checked flatness with a stone table and feeler gage. I torques the bolts as specified 30Ft-lbs, then 45 then 60 I believe and in the proper order. Plus I used a high performance gasket which supposedly would "seal even on mildly warped heads". Anyway it might have been a crack in the head and I wouldn't be surprisd if it was warped and I didn't catch it on the table. Butr there was NO sign of damage to the old gasket.
-
Mine was running rough but driveable then *Poof* white smoke like hell. Then the entire radiator emptied into #6. and sprayed rad fluid all over the back of my garage. How is this possible? I replaced the head gasket the head itself was flat and it didn't change a bit! In fact the old gasket showed no sign of trouble. That engine is now sitting on the garage floor of a friend's house along with the original 4 speed, he wanted it.

They claimed 10,000F if it really was 10,000F then it would be way too bright to look at. Did it actually melt the metal?
-
Ok, so they use high pressure oxygen and 240V electricity and claim that the process runs on water? All I need say is "BOGUS!"
-
I think oxygen at 150 atmospheres could definately burn water. I'd like a spectrograph of the exhaust from that reaction. I doubt it would be pure water. Although I would not doube some weird reactions causing some super radical molecules like Aquygen? But to be honest anything spuing high pressure oxygen could easily heat a surface to 10000 degrees F like they claim. Don't forget to wear your welding mask at least #14 that's 4k F higher than tig welding and would no doubt pump UV out like a B***. On the "bright side" it should be a brillient color to be the last thing you ever see if you were flashed. I bet you could make Tri-Tanium with that much heat. Maybe even Dilithium?

Nuclear energy is lesser of all evils for energy production, and has the added benefit of being the cheapest, IF lawers didn't sue the hell out of them every time they tried to make a plant. You would almost have to make the plant in secret and then make power in secret to make it profitable. Underground perhapse?
